  1. In referring to the AMT 72 kits, yes there are long and short versions. In referring to the Revell 64/65 kits, there is only short.
  2. I have a Walmart-boxed issue of AMT's 1955 Chevy Bel Air that I had every intentions of building up but when I discovered just how much work would be needed to get proper panel gaps around the hood I tossed it back in the box.
  3. The trailer is one of the Revell boat trailers I've been working on for another project.
  4. I picked up this little guy at the local thrift store. No idea what scale it is supposed to be, but it scales out pretty decently to about a 17' boat or so in 1:25 scale.
  5. No long bed, just a full-width shorty and a stepside.
  6. Looking good, Steve!
  7. Actually, that car appears to have an Ontario license plate.
  8. The design of the engine in this kit makes it difficult to add the distributor due to the lack of timing belt cover.
  9. I can see BC ports getting a whole lot busier...
  10. The wheels can indeed be drilled out. I even did a spare:
  11. Well, one half of my pair is done. The Roadrunner still languishes in the bath. I took a shot of the finished interior before I trapped it in: Finished shots: Now on to the Roadrunner!
  12. You're turning into an old man, Steve! Weather permitting I hope to go to the meeting on Tuesday. Hope to see you there!
  13. In addition to the Dutch license plate. there's also a California plate, plus another one that I can't quite make out. But there's a flag in the background that says "OPEN" on it, so I'm thinking it is in an English speaking country?
  14. I only ever use the full version if the forum on my phone, but I have been trying to post/edit on my laptop.
  15. Around these parts I usually see these on trucks hauling wood chips. Same trucks usually have extra lights, too, due to driving on unlit logging roads.
  16. I was able to edit the initial post with the in-line editor but when I tried to use the full editor it kicked me back out to the forum index and didn't save the changes.
  17. Looks pretty darn good, George! Is the cab completely scratch built or did you modify one?
  18. Are you able to edit it and have it stick, Casey? Or any of the other mods?
  19. Further to the issue I was having before, I can't edit the title of the thread to include updates. The thread in question is here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=98130 I haven't attempted to start any threads since that one.
  20. From what I've been able to find, all 2G Hemis installed in street cars were painted Hemi orange, along with the 440+6. The regular 440 and smaller engines were turquoise. Early Hemis were painted different colours depending on what vehicle they were installed in.
  21. I got a little deflated when painting these a few days ago as the Road Runner's paint did not turn out at all and it is this enjoying a pleasant Super Clean bath. But that's okay; it is going to be painted black anyway so it is easy to visualize. The GTX, on the other hand, is turning out rather well. I was waiting for the paint to set up good and hard so I can start foiling. Have started painting the interior in the mean time. I have also painted both the engines for this cars. At this point, the Mo'fans with the weak stomachs may want to hit 'Back' and stay out of this thread. I've always wanted to see what a Hemi would look like done up in Chrysler turquoise, so here it is! I can see I need to touch up the valve covers a bit. The camera hides nothing!
  22. I've heard there's another whack of snow coming this weekend/Monday. Whereabouts in Maine are you, Miles?
  23. Still blowing/falling here.
  24. Small update. Detailed/painted the wheels; GTX on top, Road Runner on bottom. I have also separated the exhaust from the rear axle for the Road Runner.
