HOLY MELLO YELLOW ! ! WOW ! !

This is a new site that has only been up and running for about a week . It is for building and showing older kits ( pre '81 ) and re-issues of those kits . That inludes cars , planes , boats , spacecraft , and any kind of scratch built model. They also concentrate on the model itself , not how much detailing was done or how shiney the paint is ! The really neat thing is you can post photos directly from your own files without using photobucket or what ever ! Great idea Doc ! You can count me in , I have several kits that are molded in color . Choosing one will be the hard part !

Great restoration ! Love to see old glue bombs brought back to life ! Just a suggestion , try taking your close up shots without the flash . Once you get the lighting right the pictures will look much better . And if you are running Windows it's easy to adjust the brightness levels .

I really like where you are headed with this . The suspension mounts and sub-frame connectors look great ! What about the front brace on the K-member ? All hemi cars had them , but maybe you won't need it , your K-member looks pretty strong !

The lenses on your Avalanche are polycarbonate not styrene . VHT paints are usually very hot lacquers so be sure to test it first !

Thanks Austin ! I've been working on another kit for a while , but started putting the stripes on the Ranchero yesterday . The first one was looking pretty good when I screwed it up ! Situation normal , decals don't like me . Knowing I had to order another set anyway I decided to try painting them . Just finished them this morning , not perfect but I think I'll keep them !

There actually was such a cobra built , but was pushed aside when the Daytona Coupe was started . At least one was campaigned for quarter mile drags . Here's a photo of one of them .
