  1. Hey , it's under glass ! ! It looks pretty good ! I like the color combo and of course your engine turned out great . After watching your build I've thought about this kit alot . I'd have to compare it to building a 1:1 dune buggy after building cobra replicas for 20 years . It would get pushed into a corner due to lack of interest and collect dust and never get finished ! Congratulations on finishing yours . BOB .
  2. I'm a wagon addict , and your looks great !
  3. That's amazing looking ! ! !
  4. It looks like you are getting close . Don't give up now !
  5. Pat , That's pretty cool ! Every time I see a Raider's Coach for sale I think "maybe next time" . Just like now ! And as far as a stagecoach in the car section . . . where would they suggest it be moved to ?
  6. Everybody has a different definition of a "work in progress" , so there is no way to get an accurate answer to the question .
  7. I've seen those egg shells before and they are truly works of art . I always try new techniques that I see on forums like this one , and most of them become routine very quickly . A lot of people won't use a Dremel thinking they can do it better with hand tools . For me , my 30 year old Dremel gets used almost daily when I'm working on model .
  8. Looks as good as the original !
  9. Really nice looking Ventura . Where have I seen this before ?
  10. I was starting to wonder if I'd ever get any paint on this one ! I sprayed two coats early this morning and it looks pretty good . I think after it dries for a couple of days I might wet sand it and spray another coat . Have to think about that a bit , don't want to ruin a good thing . That means it will be the end of next week before I can polish it and start foiling it . Thanks for looking .
  11. Sharp looking truck ! Beautiful paint and the stance is just right . I like the license plate , but can't make out the grille emblem . Got a close up ?
  12. Really nice looking ! The white paint looks great ! I didn't know that "snap kits" had engines .
  13. Absolutely beautiful ! ! I'm always amazed by your imagination and talent .
  14. Thanks for clearing that up , Collin . And welcome to the forum ! What's the correct spelling of your name ?
  15. Oh Yeah ! That's super nice ! ! I love the grey paint and the wheels and the discs .
  16. For some odd reason I really like it ! ! Maybe because I've lost interest in Cup cars since they are all basically identical . This opens the door to all kinds of fun builds ! Very nice build .
  17. Now that is different ! . . . I like it ! Put a couple of vents in the back and it could be Jim Hall's personal "sucker car" !
  18. I think I got dizzy reading your post !
  19. Ray , I don't know how to post a link to it , but it was under glass on 5 April 2012 , and some in progress pictures are in the Meyers Manx thread under Kit Reviews .
  20. Once again , very nice . I'm not a fan of lowriders , but you did a beautiful job on this one !
  21. Don't give up ! Every mistake is a lesson learned . Keep us updated on your progress .
  22. I just got back into the hobby last November and had around 35 - 40 kits that had been boxed up for 30 years . In eight months It has grown to 147 kits , with five more currently on order ! How did this happen ? ?
  23. If a "work - in - progress" is what's actually on the bench , I currently have two started . If it also means builds that have been started and then set aside for some reason , I count seven more . And if it also includes builds not actually started but specific parts have been purchased and/or collected to buld it , then I can add five more to the list . The ones I've started and then boxed up and put away never to be seen again don't count . Personally , I count 2 .
  24. This really means nothing since we don't know where "here" is .
  25. It's a neat kit of a cool little car back in it's day . Unfortunately none of the parts in the kit actually fit to each other , they just sort of go here or there . Very easy to get bored with it unless you know exactly what you want to build and can do it quickly ! ! I've started three of them and have only finished one . I doubt I will ever touch the other two again !
