  1. It's all plastic , molded in clear and dark gray and some really nice chrome . It is a working visible V8 just like the old Revell kit , but alot more detailed .
  2. WOW ! ! ! ! ! ! !
  3. Super nice ! And yes , they always look good in yellow , especially fenderless !
  4. You nailed the stance and those wheels will look great . I love these Torinos !
  5. Not bad so far . Your scratch built turbo looks great !
  6. Good question . This has been on my list for awhile now , I even have the kits and spare bodies collected to build one . It sure would be a lot easier if it were cast in resin .
  7. Great start ! The roof line / B pillar is the best I've seen with this type of conversion . This is a good use for a kit with a not so good body . Where are the wheels from ?
  8. Don Emmons is definetly one I remember from his arcticles in Model Car and Science magazine . And although they weren't true pioneers in the hobby , I'd have to say that Jim Keeler and our own Ira Dahm had a big influence on me in the late 60's early 70's .
  9. Last ones . Now I have to build a proper engine stand to display it ! Thanks again . BOB .
  10. This is something I've been working on for the last 7 or 8 months , a little bit here and there . It's the Testor's 1/4 scale Dodge 426 Hemi built straight out of the box . It was a fun distraction from building kits with all those little pieces I can hardly see ! My only complaint with the kit is that even at this size the carburetors are lacking alot of detail . Thanks for looking . BOB .
  11. I really like what you've done to the roof ! It looks great ! Instead of a blacked out panel , why not make it the same color as the roof ? Call me Crazy , but I like the white !
  12. Beautiful stuff ! Thanks for sharing !
  13. That's pretty ! Really , it is . Beautiful paint job .
  14. That's got to be the nicest looking T/A engine I've ever seen ! Very Nice .
  15. Beautiful '62 .
  16. I've never been a big lowrider fan , but have always admired the craftsmanship that goes into creating them . You have definetly built an incredible looking '62 Chevy ! Your paint work combined with all the chrome is just awesome ! Continuing the paint onto the underside is really cool . First time I've ever seen that done . I'm looking forward to seeing more , so please keep posting here . And WELCOME to the MCM Forum !
  17. Looks like another Winner ! Looks like there is a use for those 1/24 kits after all !
  18. Wow ! WOW ! Absolutely beautiful .
  19. Hey Carl . Your contributions are welcomed here . I'm always impressed by your paint jobs !
  20. I grew up in Torrance , Ca . and in the late 60's the best place to buy models was at the corner Thrifty Drug store .
  21. I just returned from my weekly trip to the local Publix here in Citrus Park . In the aisle with school supplies and cheap toys were two Revell '70 Chevelles ( Streetburners ) for $15.99 each ! I was shocked and just stared at them for a few minutes . The shelf next to them was empty and had room for several more kits . Maybe they were already sold ? I wasn't interested in that particular kit so I moved on . Now I'm wondering if it is worth buying . Do any of you have this kit ? This could be a sign of good things to come .
  22. Ray , It turned out great ! I'm the President of the "Stoopid Model Builders Club" . Membership is free !
  23. I grew up with the original , but I like yours better too !
  24. That is sooooo Coooool ! I love it !
