  1. I misspoke . I'm using a Monogram '70 Torino GT , and it has a full grille ( hideaway headlights ) .
  2. I'm currently building a '72 Ranchero from Motor City Resins and it is indeed a nice kit . I'm using the Revell '70 Torino GT as a donor kit and reworking the chassis to a full frame . If you grafted the front body of the Torino onto the Ranchero , the rest of the Torino kit would be perfect and give you the correct unitized frame with no modification required ! The differences between a 70 and a 71 are hardly worth worrying about .
  3. Beautiful S2000 ! With those pics it looks like the real thing !
  4. Beautiful Blue paint on that Ranchero ! And it looks good with those tires . Kudos to your wife for the BMF . . . very nice .
  5. Beautiful Black '65 ! I like everything about this , especially the wheels . Where did you get them , or did you make them ?
  6. That's really sharp looking . Love all the detailing you've done . I'm going to look up your build in the CBP section .
  7. Nice looking '61 you have there . And the red interior is period correct ! Don't see that much nowadays . BTW , I like your new avatar . That is really Blue !
  8. Yep . Rocketfin is a great source for info , especially resin casters . You should also try Drastic Plastics , if you haven't already . Lots of good reference mat'l there too . Plus they have box art and instructions you can download .
  9. That is so cool ! I love the window treatment and the gold on the door !
  10. Wow ! That's incredible ! I know it's 1/64 scale , but how small is it really ?
  11. That's pretty cool ! Do you have any more pics ?
  12. That's lookin' really good Brandan ! The overall look is great ! I think the rear springs are a bit to shiney looking tho . They don't match the rest of the chassis . Also , is that chain on the gas can legal ? I can't believe you would be allowed to compete with it the way it is . I've never seen a 1:1 up close so I don't really know much about them . Keep us updated .
  13. Hang in there Jake . It's coming along nicely .
  14. Ira , I've been watching patiently since you started this build , trying to wait till it's finished before commenting . Well , I can't hold it any longer ! Simply incredible work ! It takes a fantastic imagination to come up with the ideas that you do , and you never disappoint us . You are going to hear alot of this , but congratulations on another home run ! I can't imagine what it will look like when finished . BOB .
  15. The interior definetly is looking good !
  16. WOW ! That looks awesome ! With all the builds you have going , no wonder they never get finished !
  17. Those colors are sharp ! Can't wait to see more .
  18. That's a nice looking car and a nice job building it . Welcome to the Forum .
  19. Model . The rear bumper looks like Alcad .
  20. I think Jeff is right when he said " It's not the camera that takes a good picture , it's the photographer " . A person that knows what they are doing can take as good a photo with an inexpensive camera , if not better , than an amateur with $$$$ worth of equipment ! Digital cameras are going to get better , have more features , and cost more , just like everything else . There is always a point where the prices start to drop , but the manufacturers will always find a new feature to justify raising the price again . Personally , I don't feel taking photos of a model to show on a forum should be about the photography . In fact , there have been some really great photos posted here that don't really show the craftsmanship and skill that went into the build ! A good point and shoot with a close up feature , and proper lighting without a clutterred background works just fine .
  21. Great looking Willys ! You're gonna get some flack for painting it that color , but I Like it ! Built in a weekend ? It takes me a couple of months to finish anything . BOB .
  22. Working steering really makes a model . I modify every build I do to have it . Real nice work so far . BOB .
  23. Jim , If your Kodak point and shoot camera still works why buy a new one ? That's what I use for taking pics of my models and I think it takes great pictures ! I've never used the Kodak Gallery so I could care less if they've gone out of business . It can't get any easier than pushing one button to transfer pictures ! BOB .
