  1. Nice job Daniel . Even with the few issues you had it turned out great ! One of my favorite cars of all time .
  2. Really , really nice ! I've never seen a build of this car before ! Beautiful ! BOB .
  3. Interesting comments about a great kit . Personally I don't care how many seats are included . Unless I'm building box stock , I'll probably do something different anyway .
  4. Very nice looking Duster ! Very clean and good work on the BMF . Like was already said , I'd do a black wash on the grille and the wheels . That can easily be done on the finished model and will really make a big difference ! Leave the wheel painting for the next one . BTW , glad to see you can post photos okay . Look forward to more ! BOB .
  5. After uploading your photo , go to the far right and click on " add to post " . You should see some kind of entry appear . Do not Try " Preview post " ! it wiil erase your picture ! Just click on " Add Reply " .
  6. Really nice looking T . I love the look you achieved under the circumstances ! Your photos are really cool too !
  7. Cool looking truck . I really like your interior pieces . The pull straps on the door panels are something I've never seen done before !
  8. TJ , It looks like a really nice Chevelle . Unfortunately your pictures aren't very clear . Try taking some more and repost them . Just a suggeation . BOB .
  9. Great save Jon ! You obviously did more than just a repaint . Like was already said , the engine detailing is superb . I especially like the doors , very nice work . BOB .
  10. Welcome back to the hobby . Nice looking collection you have there . How long ago is " a long time ago " ? Just wondering .
  11. That's a fair compromise . I think it looks great !
  12. That's not too bad . Just thinking about it is one thing , but seeing is believing ! Should look pretty cool when finished !
  13. Okay . Here is my unofficial comparison test . I didn't have any spoons so I used the tops off of spray cans . They were gloss black plastic so I didn't paint a base coat of black . On the left is Rustoleum Chrome . In the center is Spaz Stix Ultimate Chrome . On the left is the plated top off the Rustoleum . As you can see in the reflections , the Spaz Stix looks pretty good ! That is 4 light coats , waiting a few minutes between coats . I thought I ruined it with the fourth coat , It got a white frosted appearance to it . When it dried I was surprised that it wiped right off . In fact I was able to buff it with a soft cloth , so durability doesn't seem to be a problem . I ordered it on Friday and recieved it today via Fedex , so shipping is great . And the 3.5 oz can appears to be almost twice the size as a standard Testors 3 oz can . That probably doesn't mean a thing . Is it worth the $22.86 I paid for it ? I'll have to use it on a couple of resin bumpers first , then I'll decide . I've spent that much on different goodies in the past and gotten burned . At least I don't feel that way this time . BOB .
  14. Beautiful work so far ! You've got a winner there James .
  15. I was wondering what happened to this car . Glad to see it in progress again . I like what you have so far . BOB .
  16. When I first started looking at your car I thought " Wow , this is looking good ! " . Then I got to the wood grain and I couldn't believe it ! Awesome job !
  17. Very nice ! It looks good in blue .
  18. Oh Yeah ! A Whitewall Monster ! Way to go Don !
  19. Yeah , I don't know what I was thinking .
  20. Nick , The part in your photo looks pretty decent , but it's hard to tell for sure . Seems like most everyone who has used it gives it a thumbs up . About how much was it at the LHS ? I've done some web browsing and I have found it for less than Spaz-Stix charges , but with shipping it still costs $15 - $18 .
  21. Ordered from www.spazstix.com
  22. I just took the bait and ordered a can of Ultimate Mirror Chrome . A 3.5 oz can costs $12.99 plus .91 tax plus $8.96 shipping . That's $22.86 for a small can of paint that is probably no better than Krylon or Rustoleum . I hope I am wrong . I will post pictures when I get it .
  23. There are three things on my list of things to do . First is to repaint the hood . Probably purple , and definitely with no stripes . I liked them at first but as I worked on the car I started to change my mind . Second is to buy some clear styrene and make real windows for the back and sides ( flush fitting ) . All I had was some thin clear plastic that I glued inside the roof . And third is to get rid of those tailpipe extensions . They are too long and I think don't belong on this type of car . I really like the way it turned out , but I guess nobody is ever really satisfied . What do you think ?
  24. Thanks everyone for the comments . Corvair Jim - I hope you finish your project soon . I can't wait to see it ! Webb - The colors would look great on your Stude . I'm planning on using them again on my own sedan delivery project . BOB .
