  1. Looks good Jon . It doesn't matter whether it's a Bonney or a Catalina . We need more builds like yours .
  2. Very impressive work that you've done . I've never gotten this involved in scratch building , but would really like to give it a try . I really like the little details you have done like the seat mounting plates . The rear shock mounts look great too ! What are your plans for the front suspension ? The kit pieces sure need some help . I look forward to seeing more as you progress with this build . BOB .
  3. Well , I'm back with another update . I keep finding little things that need to be done . The Clear is dry and most of the trim is finished . The windshield and dashboard are installed . Right now I'm adding some wiring to the engine compartment . The overflow tank was scratch built using rectangular styrene tubing . The battery came from the parts bin . The overflow hose is installed between the radiator and the tank . The voltage regulator and ignition resistor are scratch built . I see the dashboard is crooked , I can fix that . Passenger side view . The battery cables are already installed on the engine so they won't be hooked to the battery untill the body and chassis go together . I still have to make all the windows for the body . I'll probably find more to do before the body and chassis go together . Thanks again ! BOB .
  4. Looks like a neat kit . The Jag rear is cool with the custom arms . Never seen one without dual coilovers before . Wasn't the real car auctioned at Barrett-Jackson recently ?
  5. Ray , It turned out Super ! I personally like the yellow with white stripes . I think all of the dark colored , Darth Vader looking cars is what turned me off of Mustangs . The only real issue I see with this kit is the ride height . But that seems to be the norm nowadays . Really nice build . Bob .
  6. I really enjoyed watching this one go together . You did it again Doc ! Very cool detailing . The oil pan is perfect , not a single smudge or drop of oil ! How did you do that ? BOB.
  7. Looks like a great project Mike . The wheels and tires , and the dash look great . As far as larger pictures , try using Photobucket . It is really simple to use and costs nothing to set up . And welcome to the forum ! BOB.
  8. Great looking Yenko Nova ! The BMF turned out great . I recently used it for the first time too , it's not as hard as I thought . Good Luck .
  9. That is really sweet ! Good luck with the contest , and welcome to this forum . BOB.
  10. Ebay was good to me last week ! These arrived today . The 'cuda was $9.99 and the Vette was $5.99 . Same seller so the combined shipping was $6.05 ! The seller was here in Florida so that helped . I've had a few 'cuda kits over the years but never built one . And I never knew there was a convertible made . I think I'll build both of these .
  11. Same here . Also I like seeing old builds getting upgraded . Nice job .
  12. Nothing wrong with it ! For a out of box it looks great !
  13. Definitely an award winner ! If you ever have the chance you should enter it in a contest . Bet that would put a smile on Brandon's face !
  14. That's a beauty ! Good decision leaving the stripe off . It looks very clean . Nice engine too !
  15. Jon , You might get more responses if you just posted your photos directly here . Quite a few members don't like having to go off-site to view pictures . I normally don't have a problem with it , but when I get a message asking me if I want to continue , I don't ! Just a suggestion .
  16. I think there should be some kind of award given for completing this build ! At least some kind of recognition . What do you guys following this build think ? Any ideas ?
  17. Count me in ! I worked on 1:1 Cobra replicas for almost 20 years but have never built a model of a Cobra . Guess it's about time I did .
  18. Trade it ! The Red Metalflake bodies are very bittle , just like clear plastic . Unless you plan to leave it " as is " it's not worth the hassle .
  19. Excellent build . Everything just looks right . The Nailhead is a nice touch .
  20. You made an overly simple kit look Gorgeous ! What is that Blue ?
  21. Oh Yeah ! That chop is hardly noticeable , but it really works ! Very , Very Nice .
  22. Very Cool X3 ! !
  23. Ok , now I'm getting hooked ! I want to learn this .
  24. Mark , That is really cool . I've seen paper models of planes , but never cars . Is there a book or something that explains how to ?
  25. That's cool ! I like the all Black / Sleeper look . Nice engine too . Good work , Chris .
