  1. That's pretty neat . Is it a Morris ? What scale is it ?
  2. Looks great ! Did some body sneak in and clean the windshields ? They look pretty clean !
  3. This going to be a wild Deora ! Can't wait to see more .
  4. Hi Rudimen . My brother-in-law is from Zephyrhills , Fla . Back in the early 70's I'd drive up there from Tampa . We spent many evenings hanging out at Buzzie's shop . Good memories . Great looking modified !! It needs another 0 on the door .
  5. Nice Caddy ! '59s just look cool .
  6. Hi Lane , It looks like you are installing a Mustang engine into your '32 . I've never done it but it should be no problem . I would forget the stock air filter and make something that is mounted to the Throttle Body . Why don't you ask some questions about what you are doing . Everyone here is more than willing to help . Good luck . It will look great when you are done ! BOB.
  7. Take some photos of the stuff and post it in the For Trade section . Be sure to give some idea of what YOU are looking for . You'd be surprised the repies you will get ! This is much easier than trying to sell it .
  8. Here's a few photos of the runs at Bonneville . The last color photo is the Daytona at speed ! BOB. And the restored car at WPC Museum .
  9. Wow ! It turned out great ! For a Box Stock build the detailing is incredible .
  10. Beautiful Hemi Dart ! Your detailing is incredible . The Torq Thrust wheels are a nice touch.
  11. You're correct . On Nov . 24 , 1970 Isaac set a 1 lap record of 201.104 at Talladega with this car . A few months later at Bonneville , Isaac drove this car to 28 Land Speed Records , including 4 World Records . After Bonneville it sat behind Harry Hydes shop and was never run again ! It sat there for 5 years until it was moved to the museum at Talladega . My build represents the way it was painted for the Bonneville trials . The names on the stripe are the crew members that built the car . Harry Hyde put the lightning bolt on the wing . BOB. Isaac was the 2nd driver to exceed 200 mph in a stock car on a closed course . Buddy Baker was the 1st .
  12. Thanks guys . That was built more than 25 years ago . My hands aren't that steady anymore and my eyesight gets worse all the time . I doubt I could do that kind of work today . I still look at it occasionally and think about spraying a nice clear on it , but then I'm afraid of ruining it ! Thanks again . BOB.

    Boss 429

    ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  14. I agree , some pretty nice Deoreas here . I guess I'll dig mine out of the back of the cabinet and put it in front where I can see it . That way I might come up with some ideas .

  17. I followed your WIP and am glad to see it " Under Glass " . It sure turned out pretty ! Very cool build .
  18. Great color combination . That Wet Look Clear is nice stuff .
  19. Very nice , clean Willys . I love the color !
  20. The grille and headlights look good . And I vote for keeping the visor . . . it looks cool !
  21. Welcome to the forum Rob . Did anybody tell you that some kid stole your dune buggy ? Looks about 4 feet tall ! Seriously , I like what you've done with the suspension . Can you get any closer pictures ?
  22. I got one of these a few months ago as a glue bomb . With a little detailing the engine and Art Morrison suspension could look great ! But that body is just plain UGLY ! I played around on the computer trying different ideas and came up with a couple body mods that look pretty good . They include sectioning the body at a slight angle to give the illusion of a lowered front without messing with the suspension . I'll post the drawings if you are interested . I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with as it has a lot of potential .
  23. I like what you're doing here . Pretty sharp ! I was at my LHS today and they had two sets of those rims . One chrome and one gold . Now that I see them on a build I might go back and grab them .
  24. I spent a little time over the weekend and set the body on the chassis to set the ride height . The rear is stock and the front was lowered by flipping the spindles . I was hoping it would be lower , but it looks okay . Stock height would have been terrible ! The wheels and tires are from the 'cuda kit . I gave the wheels a wash with Black Detailer and a coat of dullcoat . the chrome is very thin and peeled right of with masking tape , so I touched up the rims with Chrome Silver . The redlines are stickers . The interior is pretty much finished . Just need to adjust the fit of the side panels . I tried BMF on the trim , but I just don't have the knack for it yet , so I used my trusty old brush . Any comments ? I've never spent much time on interiors , so I'm learning here . Next , I can get back to the body work and paint . Then I can set that Hemi in there and finish it up ! BOB.
  25. I missed the Vette , but I'll be watching this one . Your mods to the body are awesome !
