  1. I liked yours so much I had to have one . I went to Hobby Lobby this morning and they had one ( only one ) on the shelf ! I used my 40% off coupon and left there with a big smile on my face ! ! Thanks for the inspiration . BOB .
  2. A real Beauty ! ! Very nice work .
  3. Those skirts turned out great ! ! I'm glad you kept them . This is going to be a cool looking El Camino , but I'm not sold yet on the driver .
  4. Here's the different headlight housings .
  5. Thanks Ray . I spent about an hour last night carefully sanding the back of the grille to open it up . This resin is flexible and when it gets thin , like around the grille , it bends when you don't want it to ! It still needs to be cleaned up a bit . I need some suggestions on what to do with the headlights . I would like to use clear lenses , but am afraid of ruining it by trying to drill out the resin . Any ideas ? Thanks for looking . BOB.
  6. When I glued the rear suspension pieces together I used the steel axle to locate them with a 1/8" spacer between the axle and where the engine mounts . Then I used 1/16 " plastic rod to make new axles at the proper angle . It's easy and works great .
  7. Don't see the first Mako Shark very often , and yours is excellent !
  8. I like your idea of a street buggy . Changing the head and taillights is also a great idea , those taillights in the kit are terrible ! A flush mounted round taillight would look cool , but what about the front ? Also I'd suggest lowering the ride height as OOB it is way up in the air ! Sorry , didn't mean to tell you how to build it , I just really like this kit . Can't wait to see what you come up with ! BOB .
  9. Looks good to me too ! It turned out really nice .
  10. She's Beautiful !!
  11. Yep , I like what I see ! Nice work on the interior . Keep us updated !
  12. No paint yet , but I have managed to get some stuff accomplished . The chassis is finished and so are the wheels and tires . Mainly I've been doing body work . The interior and the windows have been fit to the body , so has the rear bumper and taillights . The hood and front bumper / grille really didn't fit very well at all , so most of my time has been spent working on them . I've added strips to the edges of the hood so it fits the opening better , it still needs some work so it fits flush with the body . The bumper / grille is getting there , alot of filling and sanding on the body to get it this close ! The rest of the body is really straight , just a couple of minor imperfections . This is my first try at a resin body and I'm pretty pleased with it so far . I hope you like what I've got so far , and your comments and suggestions are welcome . BOB .
  13. Thanks Bonekrosha . How about some pictures of yours ? I'm sure it looks okay . If anyone is interested , these kits can be found on Ebay . Some are pricey , but deals on open kits turn up quite often . I got this kit ( orange box ) for $21 plus $18 shipping . I also picked up the Race version ( green box ) for $25 plus $16 shipping . Hawk makes the same kits without the working internals . I've seen them for as little as $10 bucks !
  14. Great looking Duster Carl ! Another beautiful paint job as usual . Nice detail on the grille , and I like the yellow too .
  15. That's a really nice looking Shelby ! Very clean and that blue looks great .
  16. Nice collection you have there Adam ! I like the Duece and the Chevy II .
  17. Now that is a really nice looking wagon ! Your BMF is definitely A + .
  18. Those sellers must have an " automatic relist " setting for their auctions . The same wheels and parts have been listed for as long as I can remember ! If they do sell anything , it's not very often . There are a couple of sellers I have bought some very nice resin wheels from for $5.99 a set .

Beautiful ! Maybe your friend has a few more to give you .
  20. Very nice ! I really like the engine detailing .
  21. Wow ! !
  22. Looks pretty sharp Ozzy ! What kit are you using , and did that engine come in it ?

Beautiful black paint and the BMF looks great ! Not that it really matters , but the radiator hose should go where you have the heater hose , and the heater hoses attach to the water pump . I'm not being picky , just FYI .
  24. They both look really good , but I especially like the Monte Carlo . The paint is nice and smooth and the black trim looks perfect !
