  1. It's been about three weeks since I worked on my Metropolitan , so yesterday I spent a couple of hours cleaning up the body . I reworked the wheel openings to be more uniform , and I replaced the side molding with a smaller size 1/2 round rod . Overall it looks a lot better now . The interior , chassis , and engine are basically finished , so I'm getting ready for paint . Shouldn't be long now .
  2. This is going to be fun to watch ! That body looks really nice , I'll have to check them out .
  3. Really great looking ! Nice color too .
  4. Really nice job with the PL kit , it looks great ! Nice to see one of LeeRoy's cars , he was one of my favorites .
  5. Absolutely Gorgeous ! ! The opening top is great ! A real show piece .
  6. That is really cool ! I like the original firewall detail , too bad they cleaned it off .
  7. Very , very nice ! Beautiful paint and wow , it's really low !
  8. Now that I look at it again , it looks kinda weird . Maybe you could use it for something?
  9. I forgot to mention that the Ford Blue on the engine is actually Rustoleum Sail Blue # 7724 . I've used it on a few 1:1 engines and it is a perfect match . It's costs a lot less too !
  10. Great work Brad ! You really improved on a so-so kit that is lacking in alot of areas . The stacks and header are impressive and so is the BMF you applied . You are definetly ready to move up to more detailing !
  11. Great looking model !

    Hornet

Interesting . So you waxed the base coat and then sprayed a rust color over it ?
  14. Great looking COPO ! Nice color and the chassis detailing is perfect .
  15. Really nice lookin build . Beautiful paint and super clean !
  16. Excellent idea ! You've got a good start there , I like the shape and the ramp . Have you seen the trailer that comes with AMT's Silhouette ? It's got a silmilar shape and maybe part of it could be used . PM me if you're interested . I have a spare .
  17. Oops , I used your line with my last post . Great looking trio of 51's you've got there ! What kit is it ? I need to get a couple .
  18. Another sweet '51 ! Did you BMF the diamond plate or spray it ? It looks really good .
  19. Very sweet Bruce ! I like the color and really like the opened trim on the hood !
  20. Not much else I can say that hasn't already been said . . . very realistic . Only one thing bothers me , that redline tire just looks out of place . Maybe a layer of dirt would help ?
  21. I've never tried this with a tailgate but it works great for tire lettering . Take an old cd and brush some acrylic white paint ( I prefer Humbrol ) onto the shiney side . Lightly press the part into the paint and remove it. This takes a little experimenting to get the amount of paint right , but each time it doesn't look right you can just wipe it off with a damp cloth !

    1970 ½ Camaro

Beautiful Camaro ! It could pass as the real thing . And regardless of what some might say . . . there really was a '70 1/2 model year Camaro !
  23. CSX 2127 , 2128 , and 2129 raced the USRRC in 1963 and the FIA Cobras raced in 1964 . The one in your photo is CSX2128 after it was sold to Coventry Motors in Northern California . That would make a great looking model ! Why don't you make your own decals ?
  24. Great project so far ! The short wheelbase Dodge vans look so much better . The long wheelbase is great for converions but the shortys are Party vans !
