  1. Is the brake pedal pad missing, and wear on the gas and clutch pedals, and mat too? Nice touch
  2. Hey Al, how about some caps too. Your posts seem to be one long sentence.
  3. What he said!
  4. Yes you will still be able to build models in prison but you will not be allowed an X-acto knife
  5. Our guests should not have to read any more of this topic.
  6. Hey Ryan, give this a try: smear some of that Novus on a painted scrap body, wipe off haze, and spray some paint over it. See what happens. I don't think you will have any ill effects. I think this has something to do with "body shop safe products" Good Luck!
  7. Does it smell like lacquer thinner?
  8. For roughly $140.00 you can own one. No finish coat on wood. Finish coating is extra cost
  9. If I have to explain the rat-rod "thing", there is no way you will understand
  10. Thanks for the pictures!
  11. Why be normal!
  12. Nice lookin' build Jim, and love that paint. The color kind of has a RUST hue to it. Is this a sign of something new that may be developing around your bench? :)
  13. Another reply as to your glue-bomb question.....This truck is not a glue-bomb. Looks real nice
  14. Did you make the dime too?
  15. A glue bomb is a plastic model kit that has been poorly assembled using 15 times more glue than required. Will someone please post an appropriate picture for Jonathan.
  16. I have tried and tried to get Krylon to lay down smooth for me with no luck. I sand it smooth and try a different approach still with less than desirable results. Sand smooth and try again with same poor results. Sanded smooth again and cleared with Model Master Clear Gloss Lacquer Finish. Sanded and polished that and came out with a pretty nice paint job. Too much work for the results achieved. Tried again and still cannot get it to lay down smooth like most other paints will.
  17. That was one of my favorites back in the day. 1974 or so. Yours looks good. Mine were glue-bombs back then. (Some claim they still are)
  18. If it ain't crowded, you ain't doin' it right
  19. I'm gettin' derby fever! Keep up the good work. Making styrene look beat up is just not that easy to do. I feel your pain. Have fun!
  20. Nice work area. Has that bench and such been there for a long time? It sure looks as if it has. And that chair looks like it was Grandpa's too!
  21. Hey Alberto, here is something else that I have to keep in mind: Some of these guys posting pictures of their work on here are the best model builders on this planet and that my building skills will never ever reach their level. That is OK because I may be better lookin'
  22. If you stay within your limits and continue to build the next one better you will produce some very nice models without the need for heavy body or frame mods or the need for lots of aftermarket items. Smooth paint with proper thickness can be tough to master but it is worth the effort to learn. A well done foil job can take some practice too but will really make a build stand out. Proper body fit, wheel alignment, and stance speak volumes and can create the need for serious modifications to look right, and will teach you tons. Get the basics down and the tough stuff aint so bad. Good luck and have fun
