Right now I have it locked onto the truck. Probably going to put a cable lock through a wheel and around the frame too. Soon it will be locked in a garage somewhere else with my rider mower on it till we move.

I've also made it clear that me, the truck, or the trailer are not for hire or to be borrowed under any circumstances. Had too many things that I borrowed to some people come back bent or broken. I personally would never do that someone. If I broke something that I borrowed, I'd replace it or fix it. Today was different...it was my wife. No problem with that.

This was one I forgot to mention. It's a 5x10 utility trailer with a ramp that I bought last week...second to last one where I bought it on sale. The wife was kind of against it at first, but I convinced her to let me buy it instead of renting trailers or trucks. As you can see it came in handy today. We were cleaning out her parents house and everything she wanted to take fit in the truck and trailer with room to spare. I know it'll have plenty of miles put on it in the next year...up north and when we move. So, buying models will have to slow down for a bit.

Sorry to hear that. I, and other modelers here(on the forum in SE Wisconsin), are lucky to have...well, more than a few hobby stores and shows. I happen to live within 2 miles of 3. Not including Michael's or Hobby Lobby(too far away). I try to stay away from ebay, but sometimes it's almost the last option for something specific that's out of production. However, there are many other online options/links to buy from including Model Empire. www.modelempireusa.com

International Transtar 4300
The70judgeman replied to Jeff Johnston's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I learned how to drive tractor/trailer in one of those! I like it and might have to build one myself to replicate that old yard dog. -
High End Model kit advice
The70judgeman replied to hyrvine's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
They're beautiful models when they get done up right. The price of admission is too steep for me anyway. -
High End Model kit advice
The70judgeman replied to hyrvine's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That was just a suggestion, but you posted before I did and then I couldn't delete it. I've seen a few Pocher kits before and they're not something I'm willing to take on...especially with the wire wheels. I knew you'd chime in because you'd know better than I would. I also know there's other options out there and others are adding them. -
High End Model kit advice
The70judgeman replied to hyrvine's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm sure Harry P. will chime in, but try getting a kit from Pocher. Ebay will be your best bet. Large scale, 1/8th, very detailed, and since you said price is no issue...no problem then. -
I agree with Bob and Jim. The sleeper look...classic!

Slick! Like it a lot!

$425,000,000! What would you do?
The70judgeman replied to Terry Sumner's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Move to the sticks, build a compound, and live anonymously. -
I was thinking that myself the other day. I've seen some N scale railroad decal/rub-offs(like Shabo's) that may work if the size and font is the same or similar.

Picked up the '57 Chevy ($13 and change) and the '68 Dodge ($17 and change) from Michael's...40% off on each Tuesday evening. Plus, my ebay snipe came in today. The Hurst Hairy Olds drag car with the prepainted Linda Vaughn figure and Hurst Shifter...still factory wrapped.

Remember when?
The70judgeman replied to Porscheman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Casey and some others from the area may or may not remember this place, but it was always a special trip to Brookfield Square Mall and eventually making it to Hobby Horse. It wasn't the biggest store, but it was the best store in the mall as far as I was concerned. Finished models diplayed in the middle of the store behind glass, all the different kinds of kits...cars, planes, military...a little bit of each. It was the only hobby store I knew about when I was a kid. My parents could have left me in there while they shopped throughout the mall and I'd be there when they were done if they wanted to. -

Tiny new Ford engine coming soon...
The70judgeman replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Check it out on Velocity's show Fifth Gear. Whatever the cars were, Fiesta's(?), went head to head, and the 3-banger actually came out on top! Not by much, but a win is a win. -
A straight 6...you don't see that often in a Mustang model. Very cool.

Ordered mine, Eagle GT's and BF Goodrich's in resin and rubber, last Friday or Saturday and even with the Post office being closed on Monday, I still received my order in less than a week(Thursday). And wow...great looking product and service from Joseph. Like Mike, I might be ordering more to stock up.

Does this come with Sleeper?
The70judgeman replied to Mr mopar's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have that kit and no it does not come with a sleeper. It's just a day-cab. -
Picked up the new release of the repop '87 GNX right off the cart...never made on to the shelf. Also got the latest issue of MCM and some paints for the '50 Oldsmobile when I get around to it. Got the Allison Turboprop from another LHS earlier this week from the vintage section. And finally from ebay last night, no pic yet, I sniped a sealed LE Hairy Olds kit that comes with a pre-painted Linda Vaughn figure and Hurst Shifter.

Have you seen this?
The70judgeman replied to The70judgeman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
And not nearly as detailed as your Pocher kits either!
