  1. I don't blame you.
  2. Hey Joe...welcome to the forum.
  3. Welcome...I'd be more than happy to take that Trans Am off your hands.
  4. NO NO NO...or at least keep it up by you in the Falls!
  5. Great looking stuff and nice variety of subjects.
  6. That turned out really cool. I have that kit...partially started. Maybe I'll finish it someday.
  7. I checked it out on Tamiya's site as well as Ebay. Pretty pricey...especially if you use the batteries. Otherwise, they get you again with the power adapter...sold separately. Plus, the size of it kind of limits your work area. For a lot less money, you could get everything you need and make some of the smaller stuff like a bottle holder...a block of wood with a hole bored out the diameter of a bottle, or another piece of wood with holes drilled to stick the brush end in. All of it for a fraction of the price and a little ingenuity. Just don't think it's worth the money...IMO. Besides, think of all the kits you could buy with that money saved!
  8. You always know when one is flying around.
  9. Don't know if the one up on North 76th is open anymore. The one on Burleigh...you'd have to ask Casey about that one. I just remember in the 80's to early 90's Dennis had buckets to catch water from roof leaks all over the place and the aisles were about 2ft wide WITH kits on the floor. The one on National Ave has roof leaks and mold. Plus a bad musty/moldy smell. I'd stay away from their stores especially if you have respiratory problems and a light wallet.
  10. If you ever do...bring protection. For your lungs especially...mold.
  11. I'm surprised ANY of them are still open.
  12. Yeah, they're great stores and we're lucky to have them. Lord knows I've supported($) both stores over the years.
  13. Just a little info on both stores. GN&H has a bit of a lot of stuff...models, slots, die cast, trains, art supplies, RC's, and lots of magazines... But on models, their prices run the average norm. Also, because they are a "prefered Revell dealer", they'll have the newer releases before Model Empire. Now, at Model Empire, they have more models than GN&H. They also buy in volume for their catalog, so their prices reflect that. They average around $3-$5 cheaper. I kind of know both store owners, Alex at Model Empire better, but they both have nice stores.
  14. I just posted the 2013 schedule for the three Serb Hall shows yesterday.
  15. Scale Auto Hobby & Toy Shows 2013 @ American Serb Hall 5101 W Oklahoma Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53219 Dates: January 20th April 14th (ended up being cancelled) November 3rd Times each show: 10am-2pm Admission each show: Adults $5.00 Children: ages 6-12 $2.00 Enter at the W Oklahoma Ave. main entrance.
  16. '70 GTO Judge RA IV with a 4-speed (Orbit Orange of course!). Love the lines and power. '73 Trans Am 455SD. Again, love the lines and power. '70 or '71 Cuda for the wife. Engine doesn't matter to her. We both like the looks too. Newest Jeep Rubicon 4x4. Not bad to have in the winter around Wisconsin. Newest 1500 or 2500 4x4 Ram P/U for hauling/towing. Current rides: '07 Hyundai Sonata SE '04 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SXT 4x4 (my dads truck...RIP dad) '12 Yamaha Zuma 50F (scooter aka: a gas sipper...134 mpg)
  17. There are kit box sized protective plastic containers for just such a thing.
  18. I bought waaay more than I finished...even started more than I finished. But, here's what I managed to finish: '32 Ford, '32 Chevy tribute to my dad, Mc Q's '73 T/A(not totally accurate, but who cares), and my never entered into the Revell/Gearz Contest '64 GTO.
  19. She looks like a killer! Ready to have her revenge.
  20. Don't think they've said exactly when...just 2013.
  21. I seem to have lost all that as well. I think there is a posting that is pinned to report things like that.
  22. Reissue from 2009 of Rommel's Rod. Got it off of ebay. Brand new factory wrapped.
  23. Another impressive model. Smooth as glass paint and great details. And, I did notice the license plate too...Wisconsin!
  24. Nice finds by your wife. My wife seems to find stuff at Goodwill and similar stores for me too. I, on the other hand, have absolutely 0 luck. It's like they know when I'm coming in and they put nothing out so I'm disappointed and wasted my time there.
  25. Great body mods and stunning paint...seamless and smooth as glass. What else is there to say?
