  8. Very nice.
  9. This is art.
  10. I believe Draggon is spot on. I think it was covered in Hot Rod mag at the time.
  11. I think the history on the one in question is a pete and jake build?
  12. Same to you sir.
  13. I don't have this kit, nor have I seen it before. That said, looking at your last pic, It looks like the cowl assembly needs to move forward a bit.
  14. Inspiring
  15. Slaps hand on forehead. That's how you mount pipes.
  16. You could just paint that and display it as is. This is art.
  17. Nick Cave, Tool, Puscifer. You know, the old standards. LOL
  18. Your skill and attention to detail are second to none. That said, please look at your new blower scoop and compare to the real one. It may just be my tired 53 year old eyes, but it kinda looks like the shape is off somewhat in the area on the sides. The flat spots that sorta resemble headphones on your ears. As I said it may just be my eyes. Please continue with this incredible artwork.
  19. No figures.
  20. Very nice. I built the Volksrod last year. It was great fun.
  21. Thanks for all the kind words fellas. I'm working on the AMT 68 ElCamino now. I'm hoping to finish before we get too involved in holiday fun.
  22. Revell 69 Nova. 454, 4 speed, front bench seat so the young lady can slide in close.
  23. Too cold here in northwest Illinois to paint in the winter. I'll do all the cleanup and sub assembly gluing and be ready to paint in the spring. I plan on the big Peterbilt tri axle wrecker, Some form of 32 ford, 67 Mustang, 69 Chevelle convertible with the Cutlass chassis, Some Dodge product but I don't know what yet, And If that AMT Cougar comes out, That will finish it off.
  24. I look at the instructions first. I then remove the parts from the sprues and place them in baggies in order of assembly, or I'll place like components together. For example, the engine will be one baggy. Front and rear suspension in another baggy. Interior in another and so on. Then I go back thru and clean up everything and glue parts together that require it. By this time I nearly have everything memorized and the instructions are hardly needed anymore. I prime everything first, Then I group together parts that share the same color and paint them. I'll then paint everything else, The body being last. I use a dehydrator so I can prime and paint an entire model in about 5 days. I roll a piece of tape on old spray bomb caps and attach the parts. This does of course require turning the parts to get all sides painted that need it. I use clear storage totes to keep the fully painted but unassembled kit in till I'm ready to build it.
