  1. Looks Great! Are those Slixx decals?
  2. Really Nice!!
  3. Coincidentally Steve, I had built this chassis for a AK Hooters Thunderbird! Anyway, I am by no means an expert. First I sprayed painted mine with Testor Nascar colors chassis grey, before removing any parts off the trees. Using CA fast drying glue helps, test fitting before gluing, then carefully joining parts together. Practice always helps.
  4. Hello there, I'm not sure which kit You are using? What I used was a Monogram Nascar Thunderbird kit. The reason I say this is because I had problems with an AMT Thunderbird kit. The decals used are Power Slide and paint is Dupli Color Ford Toreador Red. Hope this helps.

  10. Thanks everyone for the comments. Posted 31 Dec 2016 · Report post Love it!! Shelby built 6 Convertible Mustangs, one was totaled with in a couple of months of being sold. the other 3 that I knew of a few years ago were Documented the other remaining two were unknown, back a few years ago. Awesome build BTW. I've heard conflicting stories about these...then found this article:http://www.mustangandfords.com/featured-vehicles/mump-1202-1966-shelby-gt-350-convertible-the-ultimate-drop-top/ Posted 30 Dec 2016 · Report post Very clean, very well done! Is this the car Shelby built for his secretary? I know it's authentic but I forget the exact story. At any rate, Well done and model on! Rich, after seeing this article I did read another article that stated 6 cars. Including one for Shelby's secretary that was PINK ????
  11. Saw on the local news today about the 1- 2 punch of weather You were all under!! So I can't complain to much while only having to deal with the COLD here, stay warm there mikemodeler!!
  12. Pretty cool Rich, Great deal too!! I recently bought 2 distressed Mustangs! 1 a Danbury Mint '66 convert, also a 641/2 Franklin Mint convert. The Danbury car neede a good cleaning and the windshield frame needed to be glued together. Franklin car had the spare tire, windshield wipers, and rear passenger window crank missing. But I bought each of them for under $30.00 too.......SCORE!!

  21. Rich, I always felt the same way about the '71-73s. A few years ago I bought a re-issued AMT Boss 351 kit and noticed that it looked kinda off. Then I started seeing these on EBAY, first buying a '71 black and silver Mach 1. I liked it so much I looked for this Boss. Couple of things I forgot to mention are the magnums are pilfered from a Monogram Shelby kit and tail pipes are aluminum tubing. Need to try to get some engine compartment pics. Also the front bumper should probably be chrome??? This is what the kit wheels looked like
  22. Don't know how I missed this earlier. Looks really great!!
  23. "May The Force be with You always" Princess Leia
  24. This was built up from a Testors diecast kit with a few mods. Including adding Revell-Monogram Nascar Thunderbird engine bits, wires and hoses. Thanks for looking.
