  1. Man I wish I had your talent. I have enough trouble with a stock build. Nice work !
  2. Coming along nicely.
  3. That is so very cool. Wish I had the talent to make up one in 1/25.
  4. Looks like a Pep Boys special. Someone somewhere thinks that is cool. Not me.
  5. Wow ! Thats either a small car or some huge fingers !
  6. It's not really a bad kit and is pretty well detailed. I just had some issues with building it that was not the fault of the kit but more of my building problems. For some reason I was just not in sinc while building this one. For example, after I had car painted I decided to cut down the windshield but because I didn't know I was going to do that I didn't fill the holes for the wipers. The wipers would be stupid with the low windshield so I have the holes. Still trying to decide what to do about them. I could have done a better job.
  7. Looks like the start of something very cool.
  8. The round tail lights make it look sort of like the back of a Corvair, no ?
  9. Finished up my T-bird today. I must admit I am not totally happy with it. For some reason this kit fought me most of the way. I just have to try a bit harder with the next one. I wanted a cut down speedster type windshield but I over did it and cut it too far.
  10. T-bird is done. If interested there will be some photos in the Under Glass section soon.
  11. As an old fart I like to see the rear ends up in the air once in a while.
  12. I wish you the best of luck and hope things will get better.
  13. Very nice start. This will be a killer Willy's I am sure.
  14. Looking forward to this build, By the way the 56 looks killer.
  15. Very nice job. I love the way you finished the interior.
  16. Very nice work. I like what you did with the grill.
  17. Slick, I like it.
  18. I did manage to cut down the windshield without cracking it. In spite of the fact I did have it masked on both sides I did have one slip of the saw ( idiot ) and put a line in the window. It's not too bad but I don't think it will all polish out. Oh well, my record is safe I have still not built the perfect model. You would think that after 50 years of building I would have it down by now. I do not.
  19. I echo all of what has been said.
  20. Sorry, can't answer any of your questions but that would be a cool build. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
  21. I think I was about 10. As I recall the first one was a Revell 59 station wagon that did not include windows. Does anyone remember this kit or when it was on the shelves ?
  22. I read that too. I am glad the mag will be available to more people. I have had a subscription for a long time and if you can afford it the subscription is the only way to go I just wish it was sent in an envelope or plastic wrap even if it raised the cost. My PO messes it up sometimes, maybe someone is reading it first. : )
  23. Thanks for the tip Bob. I will try that. I have broken windshields before but I really want to do it for this build. If it breaks I guess I can always make a new one. : )
  24. Got some more done on the "bird". Body was polished and the interior and chassis are just about done. I want to cut down the windshield to make it have the "Speedster" look but I know cutting the clear plastic can be tricky and it can crack pretty easy but I think I will give it a try anyway.
