  5. Thank you very much fellows !
  6. Thanks for the kind comments . My batteries arrived and to my surprise the stuff works . Horn and engine sounds are a bit wimpy but at least I did the wiring right !
  7. Thank you all. Lee, the Cobra in the truck is a Hot Wheel.
  8. Thank you Michael and Bruce.
  9. This model is now done and in the Under Glass section if interested.
  10. Finally wrapped up this kit . This is the best packaged kit I have ever seen in my 60 or so years of building . Not to difficult if taken step by step however I did find some of the parts gave me a bit of a problem . While I am glad to have it done I feel oddly sad that it is finished . No instructions are included so you have to look at the directions on line or download them . I did the download and ended up with a 2 in. stack of directions . The model is about 20 inches long and is said to weigh about 15 pounds . The kit contains 430 parts and a ton of tiny screws . Finish is pretty good but seems I messed it up a little due to having to turn the body over many times during construction . I used the packing when doing so as they suggest but still had a problem . I will take the blame for that . I have ordered a case for it and once in I doubt I will ever remove it . Overall I did enjoy building it though I do think it was over priced but that’s just my opinion . This is a fitting kit to be my very last build . Time to hang it up and find another hobby . Thank you for looking and for all the great comments you all have left over the years . I still plan on looking in so keep up the good work !
  11. Thanks Bruce. I received the batteries today. I will be installing them in the car later. Will the electrics work ? You know what a snake pit all these wires are.
  12. Thank you guys.
  13. Love me some In and Out. They are building a new one about 2 miles from my house ! This could be a problem .
  14. Here’s the one I built using that kit . Bad pics but you get the idea . Good luck with your project !
  15. Great job on a tough kit. I actually modified one to make the Bordinat Cobra Photos are around here somewhere.
  16. Thanks. I did use the packing to support the body as they recommend but the body shifted when I was doing something and "crack". I don't know if the electrics will work, did I get all those wires right ? I just ordered the batteries so I will soon see. If they don't work or only some work I really won't mind. Going in a display case I ordered and won't play with it anyway . ?
  17. Thank you fellows.
  18. Thank you Gary.
  19. Will need a good polishing for sure. Also, you need to turn the body over quite a bit and I managed to break of the mirror. I have both pieces drilled out so later I will pin the mirror and glue it back on .
  20. Got these die cast planes from my BIL’s estate . Could not see them just get tossed out .
  21. Landis white metal Shelby Cobra . Serial number 002 . How rare ? I don’t know . No chance I will ever build it .
  22. Thanks Bruce, I'm getting there. Now to shop for a nice display case.
