No bad on your part, I'm the one who forgot about the slot car. Cobra to left is a Revell Creative Masterpiece die cast and the one to the right is a Franklin Mint Boris Mistress of Fire.
No way I built all of them . My count includes die cast , resin , wood , ceramic , crystal , crayon , and one aluminum . Actually I forgot the one in a slot car set I bought awhile ago so it's really 715 .
This one was built in the fashion of one I saw on line. First pic is that car. I did not try to copy it but rather use it as guide. Used the Revell 1/24 Shelby Cobra kit. I stripped some chrome. Made the roll cage using parts from the parts box. Made the weird wing from sheet plastic. Made a front spoiler but forgot to put it on before pics. Body is painted with Duplicolor red/orange and then I painted on the white door stripes. Hood stripes are kit decals.
Wife and I spent the past weekend in San Diego visiting my daughter. Saturday they dragged me along to shop for wedding decorations for my daughters upcoming wedding. The third stop was a Hobby Lobby. The wife took pity on me so she bought me this for being a good boy. : )
While searching the web I came across a Cobra with a very odd rear wing. I decided to build one trying not to do a replica but rather using it as guide for something along the same lines. Car is painted a red/orange but needs more work such as decals and clear.
I have been wanting to build a replica (at least close) of my first car. It was a 62 Ford that I bought from my dad for 50 bucks. ( it was a looooog time ago ) Anyway, I know I can buy a resin body from MCW I think it is but it is a 2 door and you use a 60 Ford kit for chassis and such. Question is how hard would it be to convert the body to a 4 door ? Not looking for it to be perfect but do I simply fill the two door lines and scribe lines for the 4 door ? Again not looking for perfection ( I gave up on that a long time ago : ) ) just wondering if there is better ideas. Thanks guys
