Thank you much fellows. Danno , I went to the DSC 2 years ago and had a great time seeing all the great models and meeting some of the fine folks I only met here. I am unable to attend this year even tho it is so close to my house. I hope you all have a great time and please post some photos.

Thanks for the comments guys. I will still be here looking at all your cool builds so who knows, maybe I will get the bug again. I will still keep on collecting my little Cobra's and maybe add to my gun collection. As I get older I do think about how much BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH I am leaving for my wife to deal with when my number comes up. My wife says it's all going to be for my daughter. I wonder.....what the heck will my daughter do with 715 little Cobra's ? : )

After building on and off for 50 or so years I have decided to stop building. I have stopped a few times before like when I started driving, discovered girls, got married, had a child. Most of you have also stopped a time or two I'm sure. I have always come back but this time feels different. I guess I have a few reasons. I have purchased most of my models on ebay because of the limited selection at Hobby Lobby. I have started to see sellers wanting more and more for shipping. Some wanting 13 bucks or so. I just don't want to be paying that much. I was also running out of room for non Cobra stuff. Most important is I just lost the love of building an it started to feel like I have to finish that model instead of I want to finish that model The last couple I built felt like a chore and they didn't come out that good probably because I lost my drive.I may if I get the urge to build put a Cobra or two together for my collection but maybe not even that. I will still enjoy looking in and see the great models you guys are building. Time to find another hobby ??

I feared I would read this one day. I am shocked and sad. Seemed to happened very quick. Like most of you I never met him but enjoyed his comments on my lack of mirrors on a lot of my models. I wish I would have known him better. He will be missed and the forum will not be the same. RIP Harry.

I always have trouble with those hood latches. They are so tiny. Plus they need to be trimmed of flash. I have sent many flying while trimming them. They don't fit that well in the holes provided. I always drill them out. I like your fix. Good looking Cobra all the same.

Ya baby ! You finished your Cobra. Looks great ! Going to build another ? Did you have a problem with the hood locks ?

I have no words. I can only echo what the others have said here. So sad to hear this. Try to stay strong Harry. We all care about you very much and miss you more than you can know.

I may have a problem .

My first job many years ago was at a Texaco service station ( gas station to you younger folks). Well my first week on the job my boss needed motor mounts for a 57 Chevy. He tossed me the keys to his service vehicle to make a parts run. His service vehicle was a International Scout. I hopped in and Yikes ! A stick shift. I had never driven a stick before but did not want to go back in and tell the boss so I went for it. I knew what to do but had never done it. So I stalled it a couple times but managed. Had several manual trans cars since then.
