Stopped by Hobby Lobby on my way home from taking the wife to Culvers for lunch. Needed a few paints and the display for the replica Nova I am building. I bought the kit because I need a couple of cheater slicks and heard this kit had them. They do but they are too narrow for what I wanted them for. I guess I will have to wait for the resin ones I ordered.

Love those cars. My BIL had a black one with a white bumblebee type of stripe. Had a 429 if my memory serves me. Model looks good.

It is abundantly clear to me that I can no longer work on these small ( 1/43 ) model kits. Not that I ever could. : ) Came out pretty good considering.

Got the hood I ordered a couple days ago so I was able to get the body painted and cleared.

Got this Vette kit in the mail. Ordered it only because I need the wheels for a Nova replica I am building. Not sure what to do with the kit. Street gasser ?

Phoenix police officer shot in the head a couple miles from my house. Police were called by a man who said his son was stealing his guns. Police showed up and one was shot in the head for going to help. Son was shot and killed. Officer is in the hospital and is hanging on to life. Prayers for him and his family. What a senseless act of this young guy. Just goes to show you that the police risk their lives no matter what type a call they are called to.

I'm up to two cabinets in the garage and seven in the house. I have a very understanding wife.

Car is done. The headlight covers were a pain and I did not do them all that good. Photos in the "Under Glass " section tomorrow.
