Another small scale Heller kit my BIL asked if I would build. These are pretty easy and since he is a good guy I don't mind. Unlike the Corsair this one will be gear down and on a surface. Not going to try another phony spinning prop. : )
Finished this one up today. Pretty simple kit with no added detail. BIL asked to make it in flight. I tried to simulate a spinning prop which was an epic fail but the best I knew how to do. Stuck it on a rod over some plastic looking water.
Boy Harry, that's kind of out of your wheel house isn't it ? Not saying you could not do it because I am sure you would build a knockout. I suspect there isn't much brass on it !
Thanks guys. I took the pics to show this thing in the best light. : ) AC , your right I do build a bunch of kits. It's a wonder I ain't no better ! : ) I think I did 18 so far this year. Gotta get tougher kits so they take longer perhaps.
Thank you Harry. Here I go again with a small kit. My BIN bought this and a Hellcat the same scale and asked if you would build them for him. He's a good guy so I said yes. He also mentioned something about wanting some helicopter he would like me to build. He's in no rush so I guess I will be doing that also at some point.
Let me start by saying..........I hate this kit ! Almost just split it up for parts twice and still may. I really only bought it because I needed a pair of cheater slicks which this kit has. The problem was that they were way too skinny for my purposes. The suspension on this kit is really tough to build. At least they were for me. Your experience may be different. I lost interest in this kit early but thought I wanted to see it through. The results of loosing interest can clearly be seen here. Not a finished product I am proud of but since we are all friends here I thought I would post it anyway. Comments bad or worse are welcome !
