I don't think I was ever so happy to finish a model kit. Many problems with this kit but some could have been of my own making. Car was built stock but fought me throughout. Turned out better than I thought it would. Not to say it's very good but it is done. The coating I used to save the poor decals seemed to discolor them some. Oh well, on to the next one !

I agree Harry but it was still a nice thing to do. I won't be building the new kit as I have had enough with the one I am working on. However, perhaps the tires would be ok and the parts not as bent or warped.

I would guess 7 inches or so without the base. That's a guess on my part.

I sent an email to them yesterday telling about the problems I found with the MPC Allison Mercury stock car I have been working on. It was a polite letter just stating about bent and warped parts, a couple of deformed tires and decals that broke apart when removed from the water. I did not ask for any replacement parts and in fact told them I wanted none. Like you guys I am a modeler and will find a way. Tires from parts box, coat the balance of decals before using them and used some aluminum tubing to replace the 2 piece exhaust pipes that were messed up. Anyway, I got an email from them today telling me they were sending me out a new kit. You can't ask more than that of a company ! Thanks to Round2 for standing behind their product.

I coated my decals with Microscale liquid decal film. Just remember if you do that you will then have to trim the decals close to the edge. I apply with a clean wide brush.
