  1. Thank you all for your ideas and suggestions.
  2. Just look for Volkswagon shorty.
  3. I never saw the original post. Looks like a cool project. I don't see many of those built.
  4. Thanks. I hope it builds up ok. Anybody build one ?
  5. Beautifully done. To me, armor always looks better in a diorama or on a base like you have this one on. Well done !
  6. I like what you have going so far.
  7. I just ordered a model kit of a 1912 Henderson motorcycle on ebay. The kit comes with black rubber/vinyl tires. I think I want to do white tires like some were back in the day but don't know how best to do that. Looking for a procedure that will dry and not crack when I mount them to the wheels. Any suggestions ? Thanks
  8. Thanks. I thought about that but the "real" one that I used as my inspiration left them open so I did as well.
  9. It's like your whole house is your parts box ! : )
  10. Glad you found a solution that will work for you. I really like this build.
  11. This stuff came in yesterday from ebay.
  12. Those are some very cool planes. I hope you will be building them. I would love to see them built.
  13. I think you did a darn good job !
  14. Thank you guys. Not quite what I saw in my minds eye but I am fairly happy with it. This one may not be put in the closet ! : )
  15. Someone once said if you have more than 3 of something your a collector. : )
  16. Interesting. I don't have the one with the Airfix logo on it. Time to go hunting !
  17. Finished this one up today. Started with the Hasegawa VW Type 2 pick up for the body. I used the "Lil' Coffin" kit for the chassis and engine and tires and wheels. No extra detail was added. I ordered a pre wired distributor but it did not arrive till today. ( too late ). I shortened up the body and trimmed the front so it would sit lower on the chassis. Body is painted Olive Drab with a white roof. I used a piece of Bass Wood for the bed floor. The parts box supplied the bucket seats, console, shifter, moon tank. I cut down the headers and added a short piece of aluminum tubing. Comments pro or con are always welcome.
  18. This contraption is finished. Photos will be in the Under Glass section soon if interested.
