This VW is not the first shorty I have built. Here is a shorty 53 Vette that a built months ago using the same chassis.

Thanks guys. If I used better judgement when I began I would have done a couple things differently. I hate to go back now and try to fix it now. I think I will live with it and see what it looks like when done.

I bought the same kit at a hobby shop a couple weeks ago and it was not sealed. -

OK. I moved the cab forward as much as I could and I lowered it all around. I think it helped some ??????

I see what your saying and I think it would look better I just hate to go back to cutting and then the putty and sanding again. I think I will try and get it lower. That may help the overall look.

I looked at again and I do think the proportions could be improved. Just not sure I want to go back and redo things at this point.

1962 Ford. 292 auto. Bought it from parents for 50 bucks. That was a very good car. Mom had it 3 years, pops then for 2 then me for 2. That car never gave me a problem. -

Used to be that the truckers were the "White Knights" of the road. I'm not saying that they don't still exist but there does seem to be a growing pool of "cowboys" on the road. Just going by what I see when I drive around.

Making slow progress on this thing. I cut down the floor pan to fit the new short body. The engine is partially done. Ordered a pre wired distributor but still has not arrived. The front suspension is pretty much done. Thinking of replacing the bench seat with some buckets. May even add a center console , not sure.
