    I might go for a 1/48 scale but space becomes a problem with larger scales. But with my old eyes maybe bigger is better. : )

    Not sure what float plane if I do one. I am leaning towards the AiraCobra in 1/72. Have a suggestion on which kit ?

    Thanks Kevin. I did the underside in gray. I have been thinking of doing another plane after all. Either a float plane in water or a Bell Airacobra.

    These are fun. No old photos but I do have a Cobra that I built about 45 years ago. It was when the AMT Cobra kit was first released.

    I cut the frame ahead of the engine mounts and extended the frame using aluminum tubing that just fit over the plastic on the frame. I then used some leaf springs from the parts box as the ones in the kit are too short and not arched enough IMO.

    I have to try that Future stuff. It seems to work good and quite a few guys seem to like it. Is it better to spray on or brush ?
