Thanks men. The 53 was painted with Rustoleum paint. It's been what, 3 weeks ? I would hate to strip it because the paint does look pretty good. I will give it another week or so.
Finished this one up a bit ago. It's the AMT kit which is pretty simple but a neat kit all the same. I sanded down the bed cover to make it look more like a hard cover. The roof supports are plastic tubing. Drilled holes in the side for the aluminum tubing exhaust. Modified the dash a bit and removed the wipers. Hood scoop is from the parts box as is the rear spoiler. Made a front spoiler from sheet plastic. The aluminum wheel discs are from Scale Repro. Paint is just some cheap Rustoleum red with the same in clear. Comments always welcome pro or con.
You got that right ! Call the guns wrong, get the calibers wrong, never run out of ammo, shoot though stuff that would never happen . But that's the movies for you .
You see a lot of errors in movies. How many times have you seen a car turn a corner and loose a hubcap only to see that hubcap back on the car on the next turn. Years ago while watching a episode of "Starsky and Hutch " they were looking for these guys in a 63 Chevy. The criminals drove into a garage to paint the car. Don't remember what color it was going in but it came out as a green 64 ! Painted it and made it a year newer. : )
