  1. Very nice work.
  2. Nice work !
  3. I'm pretty sure these are from the auction you saw.
  4. The little barrel. Wasn't that the nickname ? I was getting into r/c planes several years ago and was looking at an ARF kit of this plane. The salesman asked me how many r/c planes I have flown. I said none. He said " Trust me son ( I was younger than ) you do NOT want to start with one of these because it's 100 % sure you will crash it ! " I never did get one.
  5. I hear you Bill. I had used that paint once before with no ill effects. Not sure what's going on here. It was sprayed over two weeks ago and still feels soft to me. A few days ago I thought it was ok so I set it upside down on a soft towel to install the windows. I had the rear window in place and for the heck of it I picked it up to check the roof and sure enough I found some slight dimples in the roof. Paint still soft ! Not going to try and fix it because it's not all that bad. Beginning to think I should strip it but it looks pretty good. Did I perhaps put the second coat on too soon ? Not sure. I will check it every week or so. It's gotta dry and get hard sooner or later, don't it ? : )
  6. Got this stuff in the mail today. Got a pretty good package deal on the 3 models ( I think ) . They are 1/43 and have only 20 to 22 pieces but lots of decals. I bought them to have something simple to build between other stuff or just to have something different. They do look pretty detailed and should look ok when done. The aluminum wheel discs are for the Salt Lake cars I have been building lately.
  7. Got these today at Hobby Lobby. Guess it was a Ford day. : )
  8. Thank you guys. Yes the roll bar is a kit item and yes it is a little tight.
  9. Always love to see a Cobra. Very nice !
  10. That's different and cool !
  11. What a great day today. It started when I went to fill up my F 150. Got gas for 1.13.9 a gallon. Yes, 1.14 a gallon ! Thanks to the fuel points you get for grocery shopping at Frys. Then a trip to Hobby Lobby. 3 model kits. Then to the theater to see " American Sniper". After that a stop at Red Robin for dinner. Life is good !
  12. This will be my next victim. Going to do yet another salt lake style build. This will be the 4 th. in a row and then I will lay off..........maybe. : ) Have this one done in my mind but what it ends up like is any guess. So far I sanded down all the snaps from the bed cover to make it look more like a hard cover. I drilled holes in the cover for the roll bar tubes I will be adding. I also drilled holes in the body behind the doors where I will have aluminum tube exhaust pipes exiting. I have some aluminum wheel discs ordered. I may have to replace these small wheels and tires with some a bit larger, not sure yet. Color is up in the air but it won't be that yellow enamel I used on the Studebaker I still did not get done as the paint is still soft.
  13. Nice project. My BIL had one years ago, what a barge ! : )
  14. If I am understanding the problem correctly that has happened to me once. What I did was to wedge something in between the ceiling and screw to put pressure to hold the molly tight against the surface. When you say molly is it a toggle bolt ? Anyway, this worked for me. Sorry if I misunderstand the question or the device.
  15. Thanks gents !
  16. No way that's a work bench. It's too clean ! Also you need more clamps ! : ) Nice setup.
  17. That stupid yellow paint is still not cured enough to let me install the windows. I never had this problem before. Hopefully it will be dry at some point. I thought it was funny Ed. Believe me, I have been called way worse than that ! : )
  18. Looks great so far. Is the color in the trim different color on the sides ?
