  1. Players who got it right: bobthehobbyguy Badluck 13Having found it several times while searching for recent Auto ID, I thought this one would be easy. Apparently not!
  2. Too tough, perhaps? And I thought I'd picked a relatively easy one...
  3. With Harry's blessing, I will be babysitting Auto ID until he can take the reins again. Remember, don't post any hints or answers here. PM me (NOT Harry!!) with year, make, and model. 1921 Heine-Velox Sporting Victoria http://www.conceptcarz.com/z18773/Heine-Velox-Sporting-Victoria.aspx
  4. Nothing too serious, I hope. All the best.
  5. The problem is after a while, they all start to look the same. There must have been a lot of inter-company copying. It's still the same now.
  6. A kit car as distinct from a car kit, eh, Harry?
  7. For me, those disc brakes were too real for it to be a model. Tire sag, and the clarity of the reflection also said 'real' to me.
  8. I thought of searching for "single-vent wheel". If I had, I would have found the thing. I searched for JDM, and coachbuilt. Unforuntately, I did not search for them in the same search. "JDM coachbuilt coupe" finds it. By the time I thought of those, I had already timed out on my self imposed limit, and had used reverse-image-lookup (i.e. threw in the towel, called it my loss) to prevent me from wasting any more time looking for it.
  9. Some things are best left undiscovered.
  10. Not really a help at all, Harry.
  11. The rear "fastback" tray cover was a local option only, though I'm pretty sure I've seen one in Australia anyway.
  12. Yup, I think you got it!
  13. I had reason to search for a similar car yesterday, for my own interest. Of course, I found this one several times - before this Auto ID started!
  14. I also found the Moon, but wasn't happy with it, and kept looking.
  15. Not everyone who plays this is from USA. I was totally unfamiliar with this car, yet I was still able to find it, which was a nice change, after two weeks of fail.
  16. I certainly has the model vibe, but I still think it is real.
  17. I used the 8 on the grill as my search key. Weirdly, nothing showed up on straight-eights, and I found it with a V8 reference.
  18. I could recognize it - I'm Australian. I've seen them on the road often enough. All the same, I couldn't remember what the dang thing was - thought it was an Asian import.
  19. Also got it right....
  20. I remember seeing a news spot about these.
  21. Modern equivalent.
  22. I've seen plenty of the earlier model, but not this one. I used to find them dead, sitting beside the freeway. Clearly not a car for wide open spaces!
  23. The pedals are below the steering wheel, just the same as always. It's the location of the engine you should be enquiring about - .i.e. is it in the car, or was it forgotten at the design stage.
