    Are you sure? After searching that line, I wasn't entirely convinced it wasn't some rare fiberglass thing. The headlight ring doesn't look quite right!

    I think my failures to find the car some weeks makes it pretty clear I'm in it for the journey, not the destination. All the amazing cars I find while searching is half the fun.

    What threw me was it was about 8 years behind the times for styling. I came across Renaults but my specified date was too early. Those rear fenders had long since gone out of style over in USA.

    For digital dashes, I used to use the LCDs from old watches. You can see some of them in my car on page 2 of this thread.

    One correct answer? wow. I could see all sorts of GM style influences in it - a bit of Camaro, a bit of Firebird. Never expected it would have a Ford hiding under it.

    Finally, a model car that was good enough to fool us. It would also explain why the rear spats are too big.

    The tail lights gave me grief too, because the only cars I found them on were 1939 models, so I kept stating 1939.

    Hmm.... that Combi makes one think one's zomby car should have engine access from inside the vehicle. It would certainly lead to differently styled machines.

    Ten correct answers. Not bad! I've been lucky enough to see one of these in the wild. I also knew Winston Bolwell when I was a child.

    Well that sucks. I specifically searched for Kia and still didn't find it.

    I took a look at the lines, thought it's either a Jag or Daimler. Looked at the hubcap. Yup, Daimler. A mate and I went touring in a Daimler Regency back in '86. He bought a Majestic Major after that.
