Looking at this kit, the ertl transtsr 4070a and other truck kits from the early 70s and comparing them to later kits, it seems these kits are really better than the stuff from the late 70s early 80s. Don't get me wrong, I love the amt mack kits (r series and cruiseliner for eg),but the earlier kits seem better executed. The moebius lonestar and prostar are probably the modern example of how a kit should be done. Ben

Ridiculous. People collect and hang onto stuff that they will never get to. Some of that gear would be beyond repair unfortunately. Ben

This kit appears to have a lot of similarities to the tamiya laferrari. I would like to see the mclaren p1 and porsche 918. Ben

What gearbox did the prostar with the cummins? Is it the same gearbox behind the maxxforce? Ben

It's a pity that amt doesn't appear to be looking at doing a new truck. A new Kenworht would be a great seller I believe or a Mack Granite or Titam. I think Moebius is probably the best chance of any more new trucks. Drake Trailers and Kenworth Australia have given approval of a 1/24-25 kit to be done. It was in the latest issue of Truck Model World magazine. Didn't say which company was being used. So here's hoping. Ben
