  1. Awesome builds. Thanks for sharing the pics.
  2. Glad to hear you are up and running again!
  3. This is well worth saving. You did a great job way back when and its looking great again. The only kit I had from the 70's was the Revell Billy Carter pickup. I had built it with a diorama and won a few contests. I think its in a bin in as many pieces as it first came, time to rebuild like you and relive the memories.
  4. Great job on that JD tractor. I got one still in the box awaiting to be built. Not sure whether to keep it clean and new as a load on a lowboy or dirty it up a little so it looks like its on the farm. I wanted to put duals on mine but they only have the one set of rears in the box. Too expensive to buy an extra kit just for the extra tires.
  5. Great job replicating the real truck. I love that little trailer too. Thanks for the whiskers tip.
  6. Great build anice weathering. I thought for sure it was 1/24 scale.
  7. Wow, that is awesome. Congratulations on finding such a great deal!
  8. Hi Chris: Its not that hard to section the frame and add the rear part to the other frame rails to get the length you need since both frame rails are the same size.
  9. I too prefer to build the complete frame and then paint it as one unit. You just have to take a little more care when handling the frame to install the engine, fuel tanks and other parts.
  10. I had the same problem with my chrome, the hobby shop where I bought mine from had extra chrome sent to them from Revell so I got the replacement from the hobby shop but Revell should replace anything that is defective.
  11. Good to hear that you decided to rebuild it. Its not an easy kit to find, unless you really want to spend big bucks. I'm sure as you start rebuilding it you will really start to enjoy it. I have the same kit, I bought it already started but for its time it was a very detailed kit and super huge once finished.
  12. I built one a long time ago and it was a great kit. Had a little problem with a warped hood but it still looked pretty good. I never took any pics of it before I sold it. I love some of these amazing builds posted here.
  13. Cool, nice clean build. I love Toyota's
  14. You are doing an amazing job restoring that old glue bomb. Looking forward to seeing it finished.
  15. Very cool. Road trains are so impressive but do take up a lot of space.
  16. Thanks for the heads up on some problem areas. I will have to remember those items you mentioned when I get around to building mine. Your build is looking great.
  17. Wow, amazing scratch building! You got patience to put in all those rivets, looks amazing.
  18. I talked to him too, but I don't think he is ready to let go of any kits yet.
