  1. I needed a trailer to cart all of the boards around so built this.................... And put them together in the bright, warm sunshine here today...................... By the by the tiki hut is under construction as we speak!
  2. Lets start with the Surfite. The wheels seemed too small and the body bare................... And a surfboard hire came to mind so I took the board from the kit, made a few more and added various decals..........

Cheers guys, yes I thought the 'Woody' surround needed an upgrade to an 'alloy' look.

Thanks Ron, I'm glad you like it!
  5. Superb classic Porsche Brandon, well done. A friend of ours who used to work for Sauber F1 in Switzerland has this model, and he used to commute from his holidays here to the factory at Hinwill a few times a year!
  6. Superb Dennis and to think these had either 1300cc or 1500cc in the day, the 2litre motor came along later!
  7. Superb build Bruce of a truly British sports saloon! I was a race marshall at the Silverstone Circuit over nearly 30 years, which is about 5 miles away. I remember one of these in particular going to the classic race meetings, the owner/driver would overtake me on the country lanes in the morning, with white race circles on the doors, race the car and drive back to London (65 miles) at the end of the day. He won most of his races as well! He didn't have a backup van, his race wheels and tyres would be in the back where the rear seats used to be, with the trolley jack and tools in the boot space. Depending on the weather he would take Minilite wheels with Dunlop period wet tyres, or Borani lightweight wirewheels with dry Dunlops.

Thanks Bob, I wish that most trendy surf style kits offered the surfing and holiday destination window decals, they make all the difference. Silly me should have scanned them before using, and print some more. Yes I copied another board that I had made in plaster and just used nice thick plasticard and some home printed hella flush type decals. I've now started on the Surfite/Ticki kit and when built will be suitably modified, colour, decal and wheel/tyre wise and possibly with a trailer and extra sufboards!

Well thanks guys, what an instant reaction! Yes Colby I didn't know whether to do the surround in chrome tape/BMF or not.
