This is my 4th build of this kit.... Front Discs Rear Discs Engine in with custom muffler.... The only problem buying a Manx is when there are four in the family. A quick mock-up...... Hopefully do some more next week.

Having an F1 track on the doorstep I see a lot of different team cars. So this build is very similar in fact so similar it could be a real one. Well done for a great build.

Good idea realgone58! I've done a couple of other things................ The front handle to wind the leg up and down and the spare wheel and carrier. I don't know whether they have one but as the spare wheel came with the body I thought I'd make an open tray from plastic card and mount it underneath at the back.

Yes Bob it looks fantastic. I've had a big paint issue with my metalic red so I've taken it all off to repaint completely.

I can't remember if i've already put this on here but here we are, I only looked in the spares box for the wheels and tyres.and the door handles......

Thanks guys, now I've just got to finish the tow hitch, power cable, lights and number plate.

Whoa that looks like a decal on wheels! I have a standard road one to build and waiting for race decals but yours is amazing! Well done and thanks for sharing.

Well I and a few others on another site thought that it rode a bit low on it's wheels so I've added a few scale inches so that it doesn't ground out on a bumpy road! ......................... I can perhaps now put the spare wheel in a box under the back.

Well here's a few pics showing the wheels, tow bar, front tray and camping gas canisters............ So now there's just the lights and finishing the towing hitch.

Thanks guys, yes I wanted the sidepods as so many had them back when. So out came the thin plasticard and hey presto!

I call it 3 because this is my third build of this kit................. I did a few mods and used some of the decals from the kit.

Hi guys, I've been on hols. So as soon as I got back I laid up the plumbers alloy tape and here are the pics........................... Yes it's plumbers tape! A little thicker than BMF but it stretches! Now I've got to do the undercarraige, spare wheel hanger at the rear, tow bar and gas canisters at the front and legs and feet front and rear. And there's the lights and number plate etc to finish off.

This looks just amazing! Please tell me what model or kit did you start with?

Wow the BMW looks good. I can add that to the Merc and Audi I've already got on the shelf. Being in the UK that kit should be along soon!

Please does anyone out there have any photo's of the Manx kit built with the decals laid up? I'm trying to place the decals on a Meyers Manx kit but have no idea which decal goes where. On the box it shows a brief side shot with one of the long decals on the side of the body, but no placement pics in the instructions. Any help will be gratefully received, thanks.

As an aircooled VW nut this looks to be a great project, I look forward to the rest of the build.

Last week A Flying Cloud Camper RV in resin..... And today from ebay UK an Airfix Subaru Impreza WRC 2003 for spares already started but all the bits are there... And a Tamiya Peugeot 206 WRC 2005.... A couple more towards my stash of WRC RallyCars.
