  1. Right on sounds good. i have a similar issue sometimes, where I have an idea in mind and once i crack it open i do the opposite lol.
  2. Don't know much about em, but looks pretty cool. Are you doing it up like the box art, or other ideas?
  3. A small bit of progress here. Got the hose sanded up and some panel lines deepened at the rear, on the hatch. Got it in primer to check out what i need to do on the driver-side to sand up. Did some touch-up on the custom hood as well.
  4. Lol thanks, it's a real mutt. A shout out to Rickd13 for the hood (which i think is a 69 hood as well) and Builder04 for the powerplant.
  5. This kit is more of a mash-up than a straight build, I got the 70 kit incomplete on eBay and member here traded me for '69 Cobra Jet parts. The interior tub, roll bar, seats and engine are from the 1969 Cobra Jet kit. The body, chassis, and suspension are from the '70 Boss kit. The wheel treatments are Shelby wheels, and the distributor is pre-wired from Morgan Automotive Detail. The body colour is Ford Sonic Blue Pearl. I bored holes in the wheel-well insides and used bread package wire-ties to strap the body to the chassis. Martinfan here helped me identify that the 69 chassis fan is not nearly as wide, OR long as the 70 chassis. So here we are... And I lost the fuel-filler cap for the rear of the car.
  6. You did a bang-up job on this one. I built this truck a number of years ago and never got it to sit right. You did super tho. love it.
  7. Indeed they do, they carry em at my LHS. Price is a lil steep for my taste for tires, but it may be a possibility for these i suppose.
  8. Looks great. I started one of these and then came decal time and got lazy n forgot about it lol. good job.
  9. From what I hear if you find one you'll pay dearly for it. I was looking for An AAM of the Stang LX they did and they are indeed about vanished.
  10. Lol when i got mine i took the tree out the box n put the whole thing in soup..
  11. That sure is pretty! I wasn't around when cars like this roamed the land on a regular but they sure do look great. Nice job restoring and enhancing this one!
  12. Yeah they were, you can get the reissued Revell ones for pretty cheap. I got one on ebay for just a few bucks to try it out for my 70 stang project. It didn't fit the existing mounts so i tossed it in the spares box.
  13. This is what i do with mine after purple time as well.
  14. Yeah this looks killer all around, good work

Yeah I like the black wheels here, i'm not sure if they usually come like that but it works. I'm still impressed with those seats lol. hopefully he does more a good start.

    You have another project planned?
  18. Back to back posting is kind of tacky, but does anyone know if the Revell Monte hood fits on this GN body at all?

This style vette is never bad in a bright yellow, nice treatments on the seats as well. I manage to screw up two tone seats easily. Keep it up.
  20. I'd bet money his diecast is 1/24 in scale. on eBay u may be able to find parts, bumpers and such without buying a whole kit. Or even a junkyard build for cheap and just pop off what ya need.
  21. hm i havent been on much the last yr as i got Nascar kit burnout..But anyhow back on track it might sound weird, but your local library MAY have a nascar book or two with old school photos and referrence also. If you're into that sort of thing?
  22. I been a member since maybe 2005 and even in my infancy they were very helpful. I guess it might depend on how you approach them.
  23. I'm glad this was resurrected! that putty and sand on the dashboards is great. I wish i could putty like that lol. Tough break on the nose, hope u get it back on track soon.
