  1. Lookin' good so far real nice, good luck with the weather mate.
  2. Certainly gives me an idea of what to look for thanks Dave. I have a place near me that carries a lot of evergreen so i should be ok once i decide on a type.
  3. I'm at some point in the winter or spring gonna start a project taking the Buick GN kit and making it a little average as far as looks. I want to make the rear area of the roof a vinyl-style top. I found an old thread from two years ago where someone added styrene strips to make the trim, and was curious if anyone had a suggestion on thickness of styrene to use?
  4. Building the rest as normal, except for the wheels. The SVO wheels are ugly as butt. It'll be red with a black interior probably. I don't know off hand what colours SVO's came in I haven't looked it up yet. I see what people were saying about the 87 Turbo coupe engine and things being better for this. This engine in here looks bland in comparison.
  5. I was doin some reasearch on an upcoming idea and came across this... Are you still workin on this by chance this is awesome
  6. That's what we all say. Without knowing, I'll guess: just dunk it in the purple soup, take a day off and revisit the situation later lol
  7. No I didn't i've never been to N.C. actually. I got it at a HL or a Michaels up here with a coupon a few months back.
  8. Why the wait? when they rebox they cut sprue and jam them into our native boxes and stuff has higher chance of showing up broken lol
  9. Lol i know right? i told you i was getting back to the bench soon. I even did a lot on my 70 Boss this weekend.
  10. As I mentioned in a research thread, I hate the nose appearance of the SVO. With that being said I looked for options. I tried a radical piece from Martinfan that didn't look like it'd work and settled for this idea. I took a nose from a 93 cobra ebay gluebomb, modified the body by cutting off a lil extention on the body and gluing it on. It'll need sanding and putty to fill. The Hood is a Fox good with vents cut from the 1990 Grand Prix Turbo hood. It's there for test purposes mostly, although i may use it. I'd like to get it resin-cast but we'll see.
  11. <--- Interest, if you have a moment. Thanks Gerry.
  12. Yeah, i had a part with flat black on it for literally 2 days. It took two weeks plus to get that paint off, with soaking and scrubbing.
  13. With this one coming to life any word from you resin casters as far as popping some of the 'pony' wheels? I know for myself i have only ONE set on hand and would buy at least 5 more cars worth. Missing Link has them out of production, with no plans for revival. I emailed this week about it.
  14. Welcome, thanks for the color tip. Looks just sweet with that clear.
  15. Looks great, awesome detail. What brand is this capri kit?
  16. What he said, thats a great color and it does well here. Good job!
  17. That's way too cool. What paint is that?
  18. thanks for the intro and welcome, lots of good info here. Hope to see your work soon. cheers
  19. Great additions here David, i wonder if they junked the 85 molds to convert it to the 91 formula? they're very similar parts wise under the bodies. since they've listened to us 80s and 90s guys so far lately, maybe there's hope lol.
  20. That's a wild color should be a real beauty. on the modern cars under hood area may be cramped for wiring but if you think and plan ahead you should be okay. If thats what you meant by over the top lol. Anyhow, Good luck mate.
  21. That's lookin' mean and love the color. good job.
  22. That's not a bad idea Casey. I already had my 85 and 91 assembled before I got the Camaro kit so i didn't have a chance to test.
  23. very good in-depth here. I didn't plan on getting either, but if I had it would have answered some good questions. Nice stuff.
  24. Thats stellar build and imagination going. Awesome
  25. I'd like Revell to re-pop the 85 Trans Am. I really want another crack at that one...
