  1. I cheated....for this era of Taurus I always use the Pro Finish kit (in the blue box) as a starting point. The body looks better and the whole kit fits together better. I've been thinking of doing a little demo on how to get these things looking better, although honestly the subject matter is so old at this point I'm unsure how much interest there might be.
  2. I may have missed it, but are there any plans to do the side stripes for the Gran Torino movie car?
  3. The body was painted black, and everything else you see that's not black is from the Racescale decal sheet. Lots of setting solution and liberal use of a hair dryer were used to get these things to settle down.
  4. Hey Charles, this is great! This is Steve, I met you and your family on Sunday at the show. Thanks for sharing the Lambo here!
  5. Great build! Did you have to adjust the stance on it at all?
  6. crazyjim sent me a kit right away, a great trader since I hadn't even mailed his out yet! Thanks Jim!
  7. I seldom if ever turn my models upside down. I display them on a shelf. If they look good on the shelf I'm happy. I haven't built my Salvino Olds yet, but the built ones I've seen LOOK right to me. This Monte looks right too. So I'll be buying it as well and not displaying it upside down. My .02. Can't wait.
  8. Paint is Scale Finishes Ford Emberglo.
  9. Front glass fit fine. My only issues were the somewhat sloppy fit of the wheels and tires.
  10. Yup, this was the pic I saw when I decided to build the car, lol. Kit didn't come with the Cragars or Daisy, though. I'll probably put on some tire decals at some point too.
  11. Tamiya TS-16 Yellow, kit decals with some additions from various sources. This was painted up to resemble Daisy's car in the Dukes of Hazzard, before she got the Jeep.
  12. Hmmm...she does like beer....
  13. Built this for a friend. Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red and JWTBM decals.
  14. The color is right out of the Testor's Automotive Spray Lacquer line, they call it Dark Bronze Metallic. it resembles Mopar Autumn Bronze so closely I conflated the two in my opening post.
  15. Testor's Autumn Bronze Lacquer, clear coat, white vinyl roof. Decals from Keith Marks. This model is based on a pic of a 1:1 car in this color scheme that really caught my eye.
