  1. Perfect.
  2. This thing is sick. I built this kit a while ago and was unsure of the "styleline" front end, but now I wish I used it. Looks really cool with that rake as well. Great work!
  3. I recently bought a few obsolete kits off of E-bay for a great price, but I noticed some scratches on the glass. Nothing major, just the result of being loose in the box for many a year. One piece was a quarter window. Since it was small I used the sandpaper technique. Going from 400, 600, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, to 12000 grit, alternating up/down, left/right between grits I finished with Novus 2 and got great results. My question though has to do with a windshield. It's got a faint set scratches about a quarter inch long smack dab in the middle. The rest of the glass is perfect. Do I have to sand the entire surface to get this eyesore out or will staying localized to the scratch do the trick. Are there any cheats or products that will make the process easier? The sandpaper method worked for me, but Im concerned that doing a whole windshield that way increases my chances of really botching it up. (the glass looks scary during the 600 to 4000 sessions!) Never mind the time that must be involved. Oh, I tried using toothpaste after a search of this site, but the offending marks in question a just a hair too deep. Thanks in advance.

    66 MUSTANG

You got some clean builds. Theres no such thing as too low, this build is case in point. Nice work, but how did you do the steering wheel? Im asking...
  5. Locked up lowriders aint my thing, but man this sled is killin 'em! Wanna share any secret masking techniques? That paint is off the leash to say the least.
  6. Thanks Wilbert. The Diamond Dust is awesome and Im excited and curious how it will look though a transparent purple. Still waiting for it to fully cure.

    Salt Rod

Very simple and traditional. Great proof of right stance and profile. Awesome job.
  8. Thanks man. Its my 5th build (not counting teenaged rush jobs). This site is really helping me up my game!
  9. Man, you crank out models like it was your job or something. Its easy to find fault with your own kits.(some of mine get thrown against the wall) but thats why there's always the next one. Looks good from here.
  10. Thats crazy.. and very creative. Gonna be a nice truck for sure.
  11. Im always hunting for chrome steelies. Problem is, if I found them Id use them on everything. Got a few sets in waiting. Looking forward your build.
  12. Chipping away it, little by little. Startiing to see a little daylight at the end of this project tunnel. Detailed the grill using "The Detailer". I really dig this stuff as its super easy to use.. http:// Got the 409 dressed. Little detailing on the valve covers plus a parts bin air cleaner( needed something low profile as the bodydrop was pushing the motor against the hood). My second plug job. Still gotta remember to leave some slack to avoid the "wires under tension" look. Gonna clean them up at the distributor a little. Macro shows all sins. ">http:// ">http:// My first scratch built parts! Bellflower tips. Round styrene, BMF, and parts bin chrome elbows. Little dab of glue, a brush of paint, I was psyched! ">http:// ">http:// Got the body in Diamond Dust base coat. Ive been using Duplicolor sandible primer. Works great, is cheap, and has no adverse reaction to Testors lacquer Goodbye scratch marks, so long bondo boogers.. ">http:// ">http:// Next up is the gut plus a valiant attempt at some sort of panel paint job. Thanks for looking and the inspiration!
  13. Great car. Gotta get me one of these kits...
  14. Nice build. Great work on the pipes.
  15. Id swear that was steel. The paint is flawless and flat. Great reflections!
  16. Love this kit. Looks great in purple with the tuck-n-roll. Nice flatty too.
  17. Sits nice with a great motor. Cool build.
  18. Cool idea on the dash.

  20. Semi-gloss clear perhaps?
  21. All due respect to Jim, but I think it looks cool sueded out. Killer stance, great shoes, great comeback to the sport!
  22. The oil pan is a dead man..I love it
  23. Did those wheels come with the kit? They look like Intro Wheels (1:1). Nice BMF, it can be a bugger..
