Thats the reason I moved out of California 15 years ago. when the epa came in and made everyone comply with their voc laws, I was doing more paperwork than painting. I moved to Idaho to live in a free society.
Years ago we used lighter fluid to strip paint from plastic. I doubt that it's still formulated the same anymore. Anyone tried it lately?
56 Chevy 265 engines absolutely do have oil filters. I've owned three of them.The '55 was the only small block without a filter.Chevy blocks also had the blocks drilled for front mounts till at least '65, Including 409's( I put one in my first '56).
jah, you might consider moving to Idaho,as the housing prices are very low compared with what you get.you can get a huge house for under 200k.Also, a lot of houses have shops., so you would have lots of room.

been lurking long enough and its time to come out and say hi. i've been building since i was 10, and now i'm 60 and never really got past the thread for plug wire stage. since i've been watching the forum, Ive learned a lot and after a long lay off will start building again as soon as my bench is finished. this forum is a gas
I just fill the bathroom sink with hot water and let it soak. take it out once in a while and shake it to get all the paint warm. been doing this for 30 yrs.
