  1. Thanks! I'll get the stuff and give it a go.
  2. Beautiful finish! I am quite jealous. Say, I bet you $20 you couldn't make my Daytona project shine like that. I dare ya to prove me wrong, I'll box it up tonight, and..... )))))))))))))))))))))))) Beautiful work. I don't suppose you'd list the exact names of the products you are using would you? My Daytona does have a couple of spots that need more work.
  3. I sure miss mine!
  4. I'll be needin one meself
  5. Looks fantastic!
  6. Harry: The paint is like $5 and right down the road at Lowes as opposed to paying what I would think is more money for much less paint from MCW and ave to wait on the mail to boot )))))))))) Bob: Cheaper than Tamiya too Kyle: My project is all blue, no red.
  7. Firebirddesigns.net has some very nice 68-69 Charger tail stripe decals (A Daytona set too)in 1/16th (do a search in 1/16th models and kits on E-Bay). I have bought several sets. The sets have extra stuff like the Hemi scritps, the Charger scripts, gauge decals, etc. Very good quality, inexpensive..
  8. Rustoleum has a new spray paint out called Gloss Maui Blue #268292. I think it is a really good likeness of Petty Blue. I am unsure how close the new Petty Charger kit that is molded in what they call "Opaque Blue" is to being Petty Blue but I used the new paint on a Petty project I am doing and it looks almost dead on with the blue plastic in the kit. Just figured I'd throw it out there. It sprayed out awesome straight from the can by the way...
  9. Love the big builds! Keep up the pics please. I'm going to have to try to do some bodywork on one of my Chargers to fix those wheel wells too. I'm still kind of beginning with the bodywork stuff but you folks definitely help inspire me to try. Are those decals by Firebirddesigns.net? They have some really nice decals and several in 1/16th; 68 & 69 Charger tail stripes in different colors, a Daytona set, just really nice, precise decals.
  10. Are you planning to leave on the Vinyl top? That is the ONY thing I never liked about the Superbirds. They are probably one of my favorite cars. Your build is looking nice, show us some more pics soon
  11. Very nice! Can you scale them up to 1/16th?
  12. I've got a 4 axle 1/16th KW project waiting for me to get around to it. It's a shame you had to scrap the project. You looking to sell what is left? I already bid on the wheels & tires. Send me a pm?
  13. I got one of those sample boxes a while back. You get a TON of stuff for $25 !
  14. Awesome job so far, I can't wait to see the end result
  15. Beautiful build !!! I've got one of these waiting in the wings. I'm going to either make it a drag car or a Monster Truck-style car. Either way big nasty motor with as close to a stock body as possible
  16. Very nice build!
  17. Yes, I've purchased several items. Nice products and nice guy, hard to get ahold of sometimes
  18. Beautiful, sleeper look, I love dog dish hubcaps so even though they are chebbie pieces I can live with them hate the whitewalls though. Engine detail is absolutely stunning. I had a 68 Dart, white with ugly green interior and a 273. I was going to put a 440 in it, mini tubs, etc. etc. so are the best laid plans of.....
  19. I think it'd look fine. I don't seem to remember being able to see much out of them when I had my 5.0. Besides, I'm assuming there will be something potent under that 6" hood so you'd only need the rear view mirror and window
  20. WOW! Makes my cars look like I used Play-doh to build them out of. You can of course feel free to send me those brake set ups you aren't using I really like those front wheels so far. Awesome workmanship as usual.
