Looks good ! I grafted the nose onto mine for a smooth look but elected not to mess with the rear window.

Another 1/16 Street Charger build ... altered

Sell me the wheels and tires )))) Then do it up as a Monster-Truck Charger, Hill-Billy the hell out of it. I bought a 1 16th Model T for $7 the other day that will eventually get that treatment. -
I love these cars! I remember my favorite of all of my Dad's unmarked cars, a 77 Fury, a mean patrol car. I also remember that every patrol car I ever saw (carbed ones obviously) had the Air Cleaner lid flipped over. I did the same thing with my cars later in life:) I agree, a 44o w/ athermoquad makes an awosome sound. In 1989 I was living in California and bought a 77 Monaco that used to be on the Simon & Simon show at Universal Studios for $500. 440, former CHP car, I loved it, wish I'd never sold it. I've built numerous versions of these cars and I use the AMT Road Runner/GTX frames, I just move the front clip forward a hair. Your build looks great, can't wait to see it.

As an aside, the Lowes stuff is Galaxy Blue Colorshift item #12742. Looking forward to your next pics Longbob, cool thread! -
Yeah, go to Hobby Lobby's webist and download the monthly 40% off (sometimes more) coupon and get yourself a few of them for $15 or so. Geordie, quick stalling and get back to work! Happy Merry Christmas back to you.

Love the movie and the book too. Awesome job on the model! Very pretty, great paint. Needs a Hemi though I've always wanted to do a Christine car I'll get around to it eventually. I really liked the Christine Pro Mod model too, gotta find me another one to do.

Experiments with Duplicolr Prism Multi-Color Clear.

I used that Duolicolor spray "system" on one of my 1 16th Kenworth Aerodynes, it turned out nice but that paint is pretty expensive if I recall. The color shifts from purple to green (I have a pic of the truck but with the flash it just looks totally green metallic). Lowes has some spray cans of similar stuff that is going non-stock in a lot of stores and has been reduced from somewhere around $13 a can to half price or whatever the store wants to mark them down for. I got several cans the other day for $5 each. They come in a gold to green shift or a purple to blue shift (I like the latter a lot, it's going on my 1 16th Daytona conversion). I will get the name and post it and maybe even the item numbers. Lowes is pretty funny with reduced stuff. If you ask for a Department Manager and shoot them a price, you'll normally do just fine. -
Great job!

The not so secret , secret build (police w/ working LEDs)
Bonekrosha replied to martinfan5's topic in WIP: Model Cars
That stinks. I'm waiting on some led's to arrive so I can start wiring up one of my Po-Leece projects, you've inspired me Hope you don't run into any more snags. -
I just got some wheels in the mail. They look fantastic! If you're looking for some Po-Leece wheels Futurabat is your guy.

Lordy I wish you'd do these in 1/16th. I love those Po-Leece wheels and dog dishes! I actually had a set of weld wheels on my 1:1 69 Roadrunner, sold them off and put on some Po-Po wheels, trim rings, & dog-dishes. The rears were widened a bit, the caps covered the 3" wheel studs, and the trim rings covered up the bead locking screws. Along with the 383 badges on the AirGrabber "vents" it made quite a sleeper. I really would love to see these in the bigger scale but I sure wouldn't mind a set or two in the little scale for a Yohan/AMT 69 RR and a Cuda I have laying around. Where can I get me some Mr. Bat?

The front fenders are not configured as the stock versions, they are opened up like a stock car wheelwell. Some folks (more talented than I) fix them to make them look more correct. Nice build.
