  1. I'm not even close to being remotely in the league of some of the builders here but here are a couple of mine in progress: All are 1/16th Twin turbo 440 conversion Pink Hemi I'm puting in a Pink Charger for my Daughter, she hates pink Made a cross ram for my General Grant version of the Dukes Charger
  2. I learned how to drive a stick in a 48 Fleetline when I was 8. My Mom's cousin, still has the car Beautiful Model Sir!
  3. I'm sure looking forward to getting some of those decals! Kevin, I know it's red but it's close enough to orange for me I'm still gonna do mine all blue. Do you have a link for those pictures? I'd like some additional reference material as well...
  4. I just got mine the other day and started getting all the flash off of everything in between messing with my other projects. When I do the car though, I am not some NASCAR purist and hate orange so mine will be all blue. I'm really looking forward to seeing how others do their kits too....
  5. Both guys are fantastic to work with, no BS, good products, awesome customer service....
  6. Awesome work OINK, OINK !!
  7. I like your idea for making extra body panels, that might make for an interesting tutorial for diorama builders you know? Maybe you could post a video of how you do it in the how to section.
  8. Keep on posting. Folks are following your build, which looks great by the way. As far as grill material, you could purchase some aftermarket photo-etch metal screen material or go to Lowes or something like that and get some window/door screen material and make your own. There are several sizes so you can pick what looks best to you.
  9. What year did they begin using disc brakes on NASCAR Plymouths/Dodges ?
  10. Very, very nice!
  11. Beautimous! I love the Purple with white interior and white stripe. Somebody needs to make some white bumblebee stripes for the 1/16th Chargers ))))
  12. I not sweating it my friend I was just playing around. If somebody wants to get bent out of shape over a model (and I'm not saying anybody has), what can you do? I was more just messing with Mr. Bu just like he was playing with me about the Union eventually whooping the Rebs. I thought it was pretty funny. My family had men fighting on both sides, more Rebs than Union, but it is just silly to me for people to get worked up over an unfortunate period in our Country's past. I do want to say that it's just a model and I figured Ulysses needed his own car too. I am doing some other Generals cars still......a couple on both sides
  13. In reply will simply say, I'm just building some cars. Lee was #1 for his side, Grant #1 for his, simple as that. I'm not trying to make any kind of statement pro or con about either side of a conflict that ended a long, long time ago. There were good and bad, hero and villan on both sides. I am not implying you or anyone else here is attempting to cause any problems or accusing me of doing so but even a simple reply like yours can be taken out of context even if you were just joking around (that is the way I took it, as a joke) and then all kinds of annimosity occurs. In hindsight, guess I should have kept these builds to myself, I should have known better. So to head off even the slightest kind of hard feelings with anyone here, I think I will go ahead and bow out now. I certainly do not want even an inkling of a thought that I am trying to start any problems here. So, if whomever runs this thing would be so kind as to please lock this post and delete all my postings relevant to my General Lee, Grant, Hazzard County Police cars, I'd appreciate it and I appologize if I've offended anyone.
  14. Thanks ! I guess they were doing some maintenance that day )))))))))
  15. James, they are the wheels from the Lake Speed NASCAR kit. I stripped them, adjusted the backspacing, and painted them black. I then used a spun aluminim salt flat moon disk as a dog dish hubcap. They are currently on my WIP Po-Leece Charger... Josh, AWESOME work !!!!!
  16. Anybody know if he does any 1/16th stuff?
  17. Ron is fantastic to deal with. I'll be buying couple more conversion kits from him soon and one of them will be grafted onto the new Petty re-issue just for kicks. Jason, My Daytona-ish conversion is still in progress but yours looks a bunch better than mine, I need to keep practicing. I'm really looking forward to seeing this build as it goes along, I can see already I can learn a lot from your fantastic work so far.
  18. Heres a pic of my WIP Daytona conversion from RMR. I blended the nose in and I am obviously not trying to build a 100% correct Daytona. I figured someone might like a pic of the conversion piece since it's mentioned here... I will be buying another conversion kit soon.
  19. I'm in for a couple if you start making them for sale...
  20. ))))))))) I imagine it would at that.
  21. Here's Roscoe's car. It'll have a working LED lightbar, black hood and trunk, etc. Just my take on what a hopped up Hazzard Po-leece car might be...
  22. Here is an updated pic of my General Grant WIP.. 35-star War-era flag, gold outlined lettering, etc. It's getting there.
  23. Looking great so far. Ditto on the white billboards, they look awesome on purple.
  24. I think it's ugly! Send it to me and I'll put it away somewhere ))))))))))))))))
