  1. Something along the lines of this? Still working on it but 35 star flag, gold outline on the lettering kind of to honor the US Cavalry. Anyway, lemmee hunt through my contacts to get you the info on the fellow who did these AWESOME decals for me.
  2. Paaahhhleeeze make some bigger ones for we 1/16th guys! I hate making my own, they never turn out decent enough.
  3. Very Nice !! You could source the engine from the Shelby 427 Cobra Kit...
  4. Looking great! My old Chevette wasn't a rocket by any means but it would do one heck of a burnout. Also, my front shocks were pretty worn so I would drop it into 1st and jump on and off the gas. Around "Hop" #4 the front tires would actually come off the ground a few inches. Since it was green everybody called it the frog. I had spun aluminum "Salt Flat" disc wheel covers and whenever I pulled up to my buddies, if I didn't get out of the car fast enough to stop them, they'd grab the luggage rack on the roof and rock the car side to side until the discs popped off. I'm actually really looking forward to getting my son's car going. Shoot, I think you've inspired me to put down my 1/16th scale projects and do a couple Chevettes I have waiting around to get built. Please keep up the updates Adam!
  5. Really nice job you are doing, beautiful! Most of the FHP Mustangs near where I lived had the wheels painted flat back and the center caps left in their natural brushed aluminum finish.
  6. The one I mentioned last was up to $5700 !!!!
  7. One sold on e-bay the other day, a "survivor" for more than 10 grand. There is a 4-door on there right now for 4 grand plus and rising.
  8. Actually, I told my boy if he will take care of it and keep it together we are going to put an LS in it. I beat my Chevette like crazy but never wrecked it I looked for a looong time before I found this one. Prices on 1:1 Chevette are pretty ridiculous even for beat up rusty cars. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your Vette.
  9. Awesome so far. Please more pics. I have a few of these I'll get to eventually. I have a GNX kit waiting to give up it's Turbo V-6, wheels, etc. Right now I'm working on my Son's (16) 1st real car, an 85 Chevette. My 1st car was a lima bean green 79 Chevette. My boy's car is a lot prettier.
  10. This is how I plumbed my turbos for my 1/16th Po-leece car build. Just figured I'd provide a little input. Best of luck and as an aside, those TDR Turbos are worth the cost
  11. You are certainly getting closer and closer, great work. Hurry up and get it cast so we can have another Mopar to play with!
  12. Nice! I've always loved the blue/gold combo you are doing.
  13. They are quite different from one another. I only know where to get a Daytona 1/16th conversion with nose, wing, and fender skirts.
  14. Waiting..... I am trying to figure out a rack and pinion set up for my project so get the lead out so I can get some ideas from you !
  15. As the title says, found one at HL + 40% off coupon )))))))
  16. What will you use to replicate the old sock?
  17. I just started using BMF and surprisingly for me, it turned out relatively easy. Do you guys clear coat your BMF?
  18. As an aside, 68 and earlier 440's were turquoise too. For example, a 68 GTX had either a Hemi or a 440 for engine options, the 440 was blue. They also went back to blue on the 440's (and 400's) in the later 70's. My 77 Monaco ex-CHP 440 car had a blue engine. I've seen factory 383 4 bbls with blue paint as well.
