  1. I have never sen the one in post 66 with "Twin Mill" on the side, but I sure like it.
  2. With P-bucket, it could be a bandwidth issue. Have you had a flag that you're approaching your free bandwidth limit? I had to go to the minimum paid P-bucket account recently to be able to post additional pix. Still a great deal though.
  3. Definitely one of the best looking lotsa-camber tuners I've seen. Very, very nice.
  4. Okayyyyy. Based on Harry's "rest of the story", the guy's just a jacka-- and needed to be slapped. The End. Nah. Look at the comments on http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68368 522 replies and counting. And then there's this one...http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42096 2527 replies. I think we pretty much have our priorities straight.
  5. Great looking model. This is the first one of these I've seen built all the way up. Nice work.
  6. In my own experience, sometimes it depends on the image source and the exact format it's in. Occasionally when I'm trying to copy an image to this board (usually to illustrate a technical answer) from an I-net source, I'll get a message saying "that image extension isn't allowed here" or some such, even though it's tagged as a common jpeg, gif, etc. Saving the image to my own machine and then uploading to photobucket reconfigures the "bad" extension sufficiently to allow it to go through on this board.
  7. Well guys, I just gotta tell ya'...if some clown plugged into my electricity (not "electric", by the way) I wouldn't have him hauled off by the cops....the FIRST time. I'd politely but firmly ask him just exactly how he got the idea he could take power for nothing, and explain there wasn't a free lunch at my expense. SECOND time is proof it's intentional theft. Different game. The guy could have been an idiot tool who it just never occurred to that SOMEBODY has to pay for the electricity. I know adults who think the power is "just there", and don't seem to be able to grasp the concept that using more power costs more $$. Arrest and booking for a FIRST time occurrence is WAY over-reacting, period. Lots of folks are stupid, so you give them ONE free pass. For instance: I've got ignorant neighbors who ignored the county-wide summer burning ban, and violated the conditions of the fall burning rules. In both cases, going to the fence, explaining the law to them, and letting them know that NEXT time I'd just call the FD, who hands out $1000 first-offense fines now. No more problem.
  8. Fine looking model of a real, genuine-article hot-rod. The stance, parts choices and overall feel are absolutely spot-on. Great story too, and the ghosted engine shot is just plain too cool.
  9. Do you have a website or company name for this technology? I wasn't aware this was possible at the moment. Nicola Tesla did a lot of work in the field, but it was never really practical operationally. In 2007, MIT was working on powering cellphones and laptops with "radiated" power, but I had no idea the ability to run a vehicle was even close. http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2007/wireless-0607.html
  10. Here's another pic with a little more light on the subject...
  11. Yes, theft is theft...but I'm kinda wondering if somebody called 911 hollering "OMG OMG !!! SOMEONE IS STEALING POWER FROM A SCHOOL OUTLET !!! OMG OMG!!!". Or, are the Chamblee cops so lacking for actual work to do that they have to go looking for folks engaging in unauthorized extension cord use? I'm quite familiar with that particular Atlanta suburb, and there's a donut shop pretty close by. Maybe waiting for the "hot donuts" sign to light up got so boring, they just had to go looking for someone to bust. Man, I'm glad they're keeping the world so safe. Another warm-fuzzy making story. Really...wouldn't a reprimand have been sufficient, and possibly sending the guy to the principle's office to work it all out? By the way...where were these freaking clowns when all the copper was stripped out of the house I'm renovating? And please don't get me wrong. I have a lot of respect for law enforcement officers in general, but this is the kind of stupidity that makes people resent authority, and it paints the cops as being...well, you know.
  12. I agree that they did a good job of keeping the "Mustangness" and I like the overall shape well enough. I just wonder about all the superfluous folds and creases. This seems to be the trend these days...take a good, clean design and load it up with meaningless details. Whatever. When (if) the models hit the shelves, I'ma gonna get me one and remove all the mishmash hash, just to see how good looking the design is underneath. I also have to say I have a feeling this is going to be a car that looks really good in person, probably a lot better than the photos make it appear.
  13. Here's first and third generations. You can bet the damage to a second-gen car would be similar, depending of course on the exact location, height, direction and speed of impact. Every hit will be different.
  14. Cool swap. Tight fit. Looks great.
  15. If you look closely at how the stacks attach to the injector bodies in the first post and in post 6, you'll see they are the same...Hilborn. Crower and Enderle attach differently, and the injector bodies are different. The identifying factor in FI systems is the cast-aluminum bodies themselves. Any number of variations of stacks is possible, and aren't really a good indication of manufacturer.

  17. NASCAR's really not my thing, but when I see great looking models of older cars like these, I think maybe I should give it a try. Very nice work, sir.

  19. Always my favorite of the pony cars. Great colors and wheels. Very nice work.
  20. Holy cow. I've never seen this before, and I'm blown away...again. Man. Wow.
  21. "Resin" is a thermo-set plastic, which means that it's pretty much done moving around once it sets up. If you get it hot enough past its "glass transition temperature", you can get it to warp somewhat, but nowhere near as easily as polystyrene will. Polystyrene used in models is a thermo-plastic, which means that it's pretty much infinitely re-meltable and can be formed hot easily. "Resin" won't melt, and probably will not soften enough to make "dents". More boring science. 22. Hey Chico, ¿por qué cree usted que esta camioneta se siente tan pesado, como está llena de plomo? No sé por Miguel, pero tengo un poco de tacos calentamiento en la parte superior de esa cosa en la parte posterior que se ilumina.
