Me neither... NO photo upload options displayed at the bottom of the post where they USED to be on either Chrome or Firefox. EDIT: Though today I'm getting this message at the bottom of the screen (but it's NOT stopping me from inserting web-sourced images) You have used all of the attachment space you are allowed. What Did You Have for Dinner?
Ace-Garageguy replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Hot smoked sausage on toasted rye with mayo and melted cheddar, topped with spicy red chili beans, sauerkraut, and yellow mustard. Yuengling lager. Later the same day... -
Level up to "thread the needle", a parking-lot driving game we'd occasionally play, moving tall pylons closer and closer together, and trying to drive between them fast without doing any damage to anything; worst I ever did was shatter a mirror.

Life bites a big one and then you die, so a sense of humor helps.

This is all pretty funny. Good thing I kept my PAID legacy Photobucket account, eh wot?

It does not work for me on FFox either.

Nope. Gone.

Coffin-racers save time; if they crash terminally, they're already boxed and ready to plant.

Another piece of our childhood is going away.....

Pretty much everywhere I had any memories of has been bulldozed and made into something waymonewerbettercoolerhotterhipperflashiertackier. There's a phrase "you can never go home again". That's what it means. -
Singer Porsches don't sew, and Singer sewing machines don't go.

Pass me the taters and gravy please Ma, and I'll have some more meatloaf too if you don't mind.

That last shot of the split-windshield 356 coupe reminded me I could have bought a T-boned shell many many years back that had been run as a "mini stocker" at the Dixie Speedway in Atlanta. For $50. I didn't have the skills to do anything with it way back then, but if I'd just stored it, I'd have made out pretty well.

Tried to outrun a dingle berry is something I've never done, but there's always tomorrow.

"Galaxy" and "dingle berries" probably don't show up in the same sentences very often.

Undergrowth in your shorts can make you walk funny.

Another new "PayPal" scam via email...
Ace-Garageguy replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
You have any evidence of that? I'm aware of what the FCC and FTC do regarding stopping scammers, and far as I can tell, it's essentially nothing but offering consumers advice on how to recognize BS, report it, and avoid getting suckered. There is a bill before Congress, passed by the House, but apparently not yet by the Senate. https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/1215 -
Arson or just plain stupid humans are responsible for many wildfires.

Yup. Last two jobs of mine, most complex I've ever done. Trying to close 'em out by end of May.

Monogram 1932 Duece dragstrip hotrod
Ace-Garageguy replied to BIGTRUCK's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Cool old kit, cool build. I've been using a driver figure from that for years to keep me honest when building drag or lakes cars, to make sure a human would actually fit. EDIT: As you're probably aware, the flathead should only have 3 pipes per side. -
Another new "PayPal" scam via email...
Ace-Garageguy replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Agreed. I always forward the spoofs to the security emails for the legitimate sites, and to the FCC, but nothing ever seems to be done. There should be a federal agency with some actual teeth to go after these scumballs heavy, hard, and fast. -

Glitch in my cell carrier. Phone's "deactivated", waiting for an hour for "customer service", have the provider site up which shows a successful auto-pay was made today, and my bank site shows a good transaction. I'm so sick of having to rely on incompetenrt BS. My ISP is constantly down-and-back-up for no apparent reason too, most usually when I'm in the middle of trying to conduct business or order parts. God, give me the strength to finish my work and get on down the road to full retirement. I really can't stand being at the mercy of dwerbles much longer.

"New" isn't necessarily better.
