  1. Made a little more progress and nearing completion. I still have some parts to glue on and more weathering to do. As my wife says, this car looks too clean to be complete lol. Check out the uploaded pics here: http://s1146.beta.photobucket.com/user/Intmd8r01/library/#/user/Intmd8r01/library/240Z?&_suid=1352313717923041786708360865304
  2. Keep us posted on how they build up. Doesn't look like there's too much to go wrong lol. So what are you going to put this on?
  3. Nice job and excellent color choice.
  4. Nice masterpiece!
  5. Awesome work with the Tein coilovers!
  6. Perfection! They should all look like this!
  7. Mmmmmmm watermelon........
  8. Cool! Neve knew this kit was based on a real car. With so many ficitonal Tunner car kits out there, I just assumed it was another one of those. But what if they did.......With RB26DETT POWER
  9. Great progress! If it were me, I would go with the kit decals or some aftermarket BRE decals. Never liked the Calsonic livery.
  10. Nice work! Those decals look like they would be a PITA to apply.
  11. ^^Look'n good already!
  12. Nice work. Not everyone uses the proper colors on this body, looks like you did though. Can't wait to see more.
  13. Wow. 2 weeks seems fast for shipping from Japan. Did you spend big $$ on shipping? My average wait time here in Canada is 3 weeks from Japan, 3-6 from USA. Cross border shipping is always a PITA!
  14. I really like the weathering! John's Bug shop is just down the street from me, and he always has something in his lot that looks like your build. There's usually more "weathered" bugs than trailer queens! See for yourself:http://www.google.ca/maps?q=&layer=c&z=17&iwloc=A&sll=42.984004,-79.235728&cid=6503769748943570798&cbp=13,57.5,-1.8,0,0&panoid=DRhAk8k76KcvFpk-tx7GgQ&q=john's+bug+shop&sa=X&ei=UbKSULjsHaWZ0QGG34C4DA&ved=0CHsQnwIoADAA Steve
  15. Nice!
  16. Nice detail work so far on the chassis. I can't wait to see what you can do to the body.
  17. Wow! I'm not an Audi fan, but this is a dang nice build. I love the livery layout.
  18. Fujimi offers 3 different versions of the Watanabe wheels, so you don't have to buy the whole Celica kit (if you don't want to). They can be found at Hoby Link Japan for a reasonable price. I beleive they are offered in a 15" street version, 17", and a 15" staggered. I just received my staggered set with racing slicks in the mail today
  19. That's a great idea Chuck! I hope you don't mind, but I think I'm goind to add that to the Rust-sun. If you ever run accross that 240Z again, do you think that you can snap a pic? Thanks, Steve
  20. I thought that I read somewhere that the Sonic Cuda was a privately owned, custom built show car, not a Chrysler concept. The huge aftermarket blower sticking through the hood would also support that theory. Either way, I like it! I wonder what ever happened to this machine......
  21. Thanks guys for all of the positive feedback. I seem to struggle at pulling off the showroom shine type paint jobs, but these rusted junker builds seem to be easier for me. Not to mention they are fun to build! I blame Dr. Cranky and his videos
  22. Sorry for hijacking the post, but if someone wants to get rid of some extra Watanabe wheels or an incomplete Celica kit, please PM me . oh, and keep up the good work on this build!
  23. So far, the only fitting issues I've had is the front steering/suspension. For some reason, they don't want to fit in the same way that the instructions call for. It seems to make the front end sit up higher than the rear (which is not an issue for this junker build), but I have 2 more kits to start and the rare BRE 240 that won't be intentinally built as junkers. The other issue that I noticed about this kit is that the molds for the body suck, Too many mold lines, and to little definition of the doors/hatch/fuel door. I had to use my knife and scribe them in order to have any detail show through after paint. This is not the typical quality that I have come to expect from Revell.
  24. I've made some more progress on the "Rust"-sun, but haven't had much luck with uploading the pictures. Please check out the pics here (for now): http://s1146.beta.photobucket.com/user/Intmd8r01/library/#/user/Intmd8r01/library/240Z?&_suid=135156726855409709587526581739 Let me know what you think! Thanks, Steve
