  1. A little time with the Dremel, an airbrush, 6 coats of paint, and a week later.........
  2. This build was inspired by a "project" car spotted on Kijiji. Here's what I started with:
  3. I think that it's safe to say that Phil has mastered the art of building Cobras. Another fine job!
  4. ^ I like where this build is going^
  5. Nice progress. Aweome color and perfect stance!
  6. I always loved this erra of NASCAR. I can't wait to see how this one turns out!
  7. Hi John, I'm kicking myself now for discarding all of my old NASCAR mags. With Jonathan's sugestion, I found this link: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v115/Thundercracker/RCR%20Museum%20and%20Race%20Shop/Aerocoupe%20MC%20SS/?start=20 It's basically all of the close up shots that I was hoping to find. I guess whoever took these pics saw the car in person at the RCR museum. Thanks for the incredable offer to share your potential pics wiht me. By no means stop for my account. Should the opportunity be available, you should absolutely visit RCR if you have the chance (if you're into that sort of thing) Thanks again! Steve
  8. Hi John, The RCR page is the first place I tried. Not a whole lot of pictures are available online of this specific car. Probably because they want to change admision to the museum instead of posting pictures of all of the content. It's a good resource for current race teams though.
  9. Cool! Is this an anual show? If so, I'll have to book my next business trip around this show
  10. x2! I'd like to see more Rat Rod builds with this detail, it makes all the difference with this small detail.
  11. Nice work! I'm not sure how you feel, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of Aoshima kits. Your work makes me want to build one too!
  12. It took me a while, but I found the pics that I was lookign for. Thanks Jonathan!
  13. Hey guys, I just picked up my '88 Aerocoupe and I'm excited to build a detailed tribute to one of the coolest cars to turn a lap in NASCAR. Does anyone know what happened to the 1:1 car or where I can find pics of it? My Google search keeps turning up Die-Cast replicas and grainy youtube videos that don't show me enough detail. Any help is apreciated! Thanks, Steve
  14. Very nice work indeed! Didn't I see this dio on Ebay recently?
  15. I like it! Everythign about this stance feels right! Nice airbrush work on the test mule as well.
  16. I'm not familiar with the history of this car, but I would say you nailed it! Nice work and nice clean buld.!
  17. Nice work Corey! In know first hand how much of a PITA those PE keys and key chains are to fasten to the steering column. These pictures don't do justice how much time and dedication is need to pull them off. You nailed it!
  18. Awesome airbrush skills. The minnime Cranky is the icing on the cake!
  19. I always liked the livery on this one. Nice build too!
  20. I like this build. The only criticism I have is that the rear tires are too shinny to imply that they just left chunks of rubber in the rear arches. I would have dulled them up a bit to match the race used look. Other than that, awesome job!
  21. Now that's a nice machine!
  22. At first glance, I thought this was a die-cast that I used to own. Nice work!
  23. Nice wrok Jim!
  24. x2! The detail iss exceptional.
  25. Nice work. Excellent attention to detail. I love the idea. I've been wanting to do a similar build, but I just don't have the space to display it.
