  3. nice clean build, the engine looks great !
  4. wow, that looks amazing. The paint is like nothing i've ever seen on a model. great work !
  5. thanks a lot guys, the decals were an absolute mission ! the helmet alone had 17 to put on, and both bike and rider had about 50 each.
  6. I just finished this build as a gift for my brother who is a big Rossi fan. The kit was the Tamiya one with the rider. I loved building the bike and am hoping to do more of the same if i can find the kits for a reasonable price ! The rider was the first figure i have ever built and will probably be the last as it was nothing but a chore ! I think i will stick to vehicles from now on. The bike kit was a joy to build however, the detail and the quality of the kit were absolutely brilliant. here are some pics.
  7. i love it, i built that kit as intended and now i really wish i had not,
  8. that is a really clean nice build, looks fantastic.
  9. looks real nice, the paint is fantastic ! which kit was it ? i have the revell muscle one to build.
  10. looks great, the orange paint looks perfect.
  11. that looks brilliant, great work !
  12. very true about the accents and language, i'm pretty good when typing but i guarantee you I am guilty of butchering the English language away from a keyboard (most of us from the north of England are !) I'll check up on the V, and i might have a little practice with the toothpick method, thanks for the tips. i used a white glue from my local hobby shop called "scenic cement" it worked pretty well, If you look closely behind the back seats I used the flocking for the rear shelf. I am going to try my hand with home made decals when i get myself a printer up and running, i might make a chevy emblem for the front if the toothpick painting goes wrong.
  13. cheers for that crazyjim, i seem to have lost 2 decals from the hood and the one remaining has slipped a bit low. I can't believe i didnt spot that before posting, Doh !! I'll BMF the lower one but i think the chevy logo will have to wait.
  14. thanks a lot for the positive comments, this was one of the more fun builds i've ever done.
  15. that looks absolutely brilliant, great work !
  16. welcome, i too look forward to seeing your builds !
  17. many thanks thanks, i realised the 58 was a bit ambitious when i got started with the foil, i used tamiya pearl clear for this one as an experiment, not even close to the usual results but at least i know for next time ! Thanks a lot dr Cranky, i had my doubts about the roof but i'm happy with the results, still a bit of a shame to butcher an nice car like the 58' though ! thanks, the wheels did come with the kit, i thought about using the stock ones but i have another build they are perfect for. I agree fully learning new things is really rewarding , almost as rewarding as enjoying the glue a bit too much !
  18. that looks slick, the engine looks phenomenal !
  19. looks great, the paint and engine look fantastic.
  20. hi all, This is my build of the revell 2 n' 1 58' Impala. I used it as an experimental build to try out a lot of things or the first time. I had my first attempts at the following : Cutting the plastic for body modding. Using flocking for interior areas Using BMF for the trim. I cut the roof into a bar to learn as it would be easy to make it a convertible if all went horribly wrong but i quite liked the result so i kept it. The BMF was really tricky at first but by the end i was starting to get the hang of it. The flocking was really nice and straight forward. I'm looking for constructive criticisms and feedback as this is my first attempt at afew things and you guys will no doubt be able to give me plenty of tips and corrections. thanks for looking - phil Here are the pics.
  21. I just splashed out on a better airbrush, a compressor, masking tape, thinners and some paint. I'm going to get into the airbrushing and my beginners set with canned propellant was never going to get me far ! The hobby shop bloke must have loved me today !
  22. that is a beauty, looks great !
  23. those 3 kits are all selling on ebay.co.uk now, the kansas cruiser and night prowler are currently at 50 quid, the Krackle Kat is going for 285 quid. all have 5 hours left.
