The half of my work on that truck is mock up. This time, I begin to know what it will look like. I will do a spring leaf set up like this one in the Street Rodder magazine. http://www.streetrodderweb.com/tech/0903sr_hot_rod_frontend/photo_16.html

Wow this is the best post I ever had... brassbuilder is a great name, I love to work with brass, if you post something you did in any thread, send me a pm, and I will take a look.

Just a beginning of a reflection for the turbo setup. If I choose to install the turbos in each side of the front of the block, this exhaust location can contribute to the bad to the bone look.

The most wicked cobra you'll meet. well maybe lol

This Cobra looks so real, fantastic work. -
thanks for great comments everybody. I don't think I will use it, If I choose to do a twin turbo set up, I will use 2 ''logs'' ''hilborn feeders''. Yes, this is the revell 1:25 Kenworth W900 tires on 1:16 wheels, Jim (micro Nitro) did the wheels specially for those tyres. I prefer them from the flashpoint funny car tyres because the FP ones don't have enough rubber on them for the solid and cool look that I want for this truck.

2 x 1:16 scale 3'' turbos is ordered I cant wait to start my new boosted set up A little mock up work on the front axle... the axle is a 1:24 big rig axle kit from KFS The hubs and the weels are from micro nitro

2085 VETTE JET! 8th Scale Corvette Flying Car...Finished!

Can't wait to see the wing's on it. -
Thanks Lee and Dave, this is a very cool set up I didn't think about that, I'm very exited about the idea. This is my first engine mock up, the scoop is the 1:24 short hood scoop from TDR. This scoop can be easily modified for feeding the PSI's to the Hilborn set up. But I will think about making my own double or single ''Log'' ''Hillborn feeder''

midengineaddict replied to donr's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is the same car but shortened and in 1:24 mixed with an Enzo kit ... it is not finished and the front axle is not in the best place but it' different of the 1932 ford, I love the body style. -

I dont post comments verry often because all the other members tell the same thing that I think, you are the better modeler on the planet.. please keep on working. -
You'r right, you need the fujimy F40 plastic disc, the pe disc have to be glued in the front and the other part wrapped around.... but I will not use it. I bought 4 pairs of these http://www.tedsmodelingmarketplace.com/drilled-rotor-pair-large-rear-1-16/ , I will try to glue 2 of them in the center with a vented patern and glue 1 plain pe in each side, hope it will look good. they will be ''bolted'' to http://www.tedsmodelingmarketplace.com/rear-brake-set-with-carbon-fiber-rotors-1-pair-1-16/ the discs seems to be designed to fit the hubs, the fit is perfect. I hade work a lot those last weeks, I hope to have time for hobby soon Thanks for looking

1-8 '69 nitrous pro mod camaro
midengineaddict replied to comp1839's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
This car is probably the best scaled pro mod ever. Good work methods, I will make a chassis jig inspired by your's for my 1:16 inter kb5 chassis. Thanks a lot to share your knowledge. -
In the beginning there was a Ford 32 B400, but now its more

I'm sorry oldscool do have pollute your topic, your engine choice sound's very good. Pharoah, forget the styrene glue for TDR parts, you will need super glue or epoxy. -
tooltas, I think a lot about your comment and I agreed with you. The Hilborn injection look is too ''good guy'' for this project. But I try to build a big displacement no boost engine so this is the solution I thought for the nasty look, (they will be modified and adapted) this scoop, or this one
-
Thanks GoatGuy, I'm very upset by the solidity aspect of this project. Everything except very rare parts like the engine block and rear end are 3d printed everything hels is made of metal and very heavy, all parts of the front axle is metal work for that reason, you will see later... Some progress on the intake ( I'm very busy so my project is progressing very slowly )
