  1. This is my version of Dan Gurney's Lotus 29 Ford powered car that he drove to a 7th place finish in the '63 Indy race. Its one of 3 cars from the old AMT Indy Combo kit. This is basically box-stock with the exception of ignition wires, aluminum intakes, paint and new decals from Indycals. Thanks for looking.
  2. Very nice indeed Billy. I've only been here a short time, but I also notice how each and every one of your builds gets better and better. Two thumbs up to you man!
  3. Sweet looking truck Walt. I like it a lot! Bill
  4. Very nice indeed Jeff.
  5. Thanks everyone for your very kind comments. Bill
  6. Incredibly beautiful job Mark, all the more so at that small scale. I trust the recipient was suitably awed! Bill
  7. Thanks Dag. Meeting Rufus must have been quite a treat. I understand he is quite a character!
  8. Here's the roadster all done. Thanks for looking.
  9. Here's the latest update pics of my Parnelli Jones 1963 Indy winner. The kit is one of the old AMT Indy Combo kits. The other cars are the '63 Lotus, which I'm doing up as Gurney's car, and the '74 McLaren. I also have another '63 roadster, which I will make into Foyt's '64 winner, and another '63 Lotus which will be Clark's car. Finally, I got a '65 Lotus on E-bay, so I'll also do Clark's winning car. Thanks for looking.
  10. Nice build of a very unusual vehicle Billy. Well done.
  11. Beautiful work Izzy. Fine details and craftsmanship. Congratulations on a super build.
  12. Great work Chuck. The paint looks awesome.
  13. Nice work so far Ben. Tough looking machine! Bill
  14. Hi Ben......you just couldn't resist the lure of anothe forum eh? Good to see you here.
  15. Wahoo Brian! Now we'll see some real progress on this one!
  16. This is my current project, Parnelli Jones' 1963 Indy winner. The engine and chassis are pretty much done. Thanks for looking.
  17. I scored one of those original kits on e-bay tonight, so now I have some correct tires. I'm going to see if I can get someone to cast me some extras for the other roadster and the Lotus. Bill
  18. Thanks again for the info Art. I'm going to try to get one of those kits off e-bay.
  19. Thanks for the info Jairus. I e-mailed Professor Motor to see what they might have available. The only other option might be to get some tire tread decals for the kit tires.....any thoughts on that?
  20. I'm building a '63 Indy Roadster and would like to put rubber tires on it instead of the plastic ones in the kit. Anyone know of a source for these old style tires? Thanks.
  21. Looks fantastic Gregg. Thanks for the tip about the decals.
  22. Beautiful work Dave.
  23. Nice work John. Definitely one of the better built and tasteful rice burners I've seen in a long time. Bill
  24. That's pretty nice Billy. Good going.
  25. Gary....basically it means slicing the hood horizontally and molding the lower part to the body, leaving only the top "pancake" as a hood. Bill
