I would take an unbuilt Butch Leal 65 plymouth kit in partial trade Ps. For the right trade. I will include a 1972 front bumper and 1972 grill insert Full disclosure..the bumper might be white resin. I'm not real sure either way I do not have any other 72 parts

MPC 1970 thru 1974 Challenger kits Any or all of the 70s era MPC Pro Stock kits -
Thanks Ive gathered dozens of photos of any - every Sox-Martin 67 GTX I could. In MOST , of them the ones with class SS/E designation markings AND various sponsor decals ( both Dougs or Hooker headers ) the car has the upper body line mldg , aka 67 Belv 2. Its the car that has virtually no decals and no class designations , IMO was the Photo op / Clinic car My gut tells me is most likely became one of the active cars in some point ? Or,,,Maybe it didnt. Its my understanding by the 1967 season they were full on salaried Chrysler paid employees, so it makes sense a photo op car existed to promote the brand. Thanks for the info and comments to all This one is one of my favorites

Thanks. ...Pretty much confirms my thoughts Seems to be " most " of the photos of a white interior car. It's not lettered with a class designation of any kind. And posed as if strictly for photo opp moments To add even more confusion to the mix. I have a few pictures of a white interior car. WITH SS/E class designation. And in each one it has the upper body line mldg like a Belv 2 has . Yet most do not have said mldg. Which adds fuel to the thought / makes me believe they did in fact swap powertrains in a single body to change classes As to when each photo was taken obviously have no idea to make some kind of time line for the car

Agreed But i went thru just about every mopar kit I had with a wedge - headers . I wanted to use the set from the lindberg series....but couldn't get them to fit the engine compartment / chassis and still look reasonable. Even tried too heat the hemi headers up and squish the 2 center tubes together....that failed miserably and ended up in the trash can The only one that actually fit both the engine and chassis Was from the Landy SS/E Dart kit. But rather not part one of those kits out .. that kit is getting expensive.

Same here. Ive had lots of issues with older decal sheets cracking trying to remove them from the carrier sheet Especially Slixx and Fred Cady sheets. That said ,, some of my sheets are maybe 10-15 years old now ( I better get busy me thinks )

I'm my digging into it. They ran 3 cars This 440 4spd car. An actual RO hemi 4spd These 2 was generally hired drivers Ronnie may have driven either or both from time to time And a 3rd Belvedere . Not an ro car. But it was hemi amd 4spd. That is the car Ronnie himself was the regular Driver

And just for grins , I detailed an old helmet to replicate the one Ronnie Sox wore when this car was active

My best interpretation of what I feel was either a promo / clinic use show car that eventually became a SS/E 440 4spd car. It's the only one I'm aware of that had white bucket seat interior out of at least 3 known of the body style. Theres not a whole lot of info or photos of this particular car . So some liberties had to be taken. That said. I really REALLY like this one. A lot. All Tamiya colors with Dupli color 1k clear . And Dupli color rattle can pearl white for the interior. Im typically an out of the box builder. But this one got Lots of aftermarket details goodies... AMT parts pack blue streak rear tires, front redlines from the MPC 1968 Coronet The RB engine from the Revell Dart with headers modified from the hemi to fit Dana rear axle from the 68 Charger kit Pre wired dist and wire looms from Morgan Automotive detail An amazing 3d printed AFB from Joseph at Fireball Model works Unfortunately, this was an older Revell versions,, And the decals silvered when I laid clear over them. But it it what it is and I'll live with it And yes, the headers are not connected to the stock exhaust is intentional. The SS cars back then were required to have the stock system in place Also, in just about every picture I can find of this car. There is no hood mldg, Thus. None on the kit build either. Thanks for looking. And as usual. Comments / Critiques more than welcome.

I can say Its finaly done. After several months of extensive small details, I've haven't done in many years It felt good to go this deep in a build. But I had my times when I regretted starting that process. And my hats are off big time to those that get that detailed. Looking back at it now . I wish I had the eyes to wire the firewall / engine compartment But my magnifier only helps so much In my haste to call it done,,,,,I see I missed the wiper motor install, as well as paint the front bumper brackets black ,,,,, I'll have to correct this asap There is a build thread in the Drag build section if you care to ck it out There is far, far to much stuff to bore you with here I used both a Car Craft April 1967 and SS/Di magazines for research to duplicate the car from early in its life span. No RO style hood scoop and when it still had the trunk lid decal on it, which disappeared sometime shortly after the when the hood scoop was installed . Which is best I can tell happened sometime in late winter - early spring 1967 Enjoy and as always Comments or criticisms are always welcomed. Updated pics

Oh believe me I have plenty to work on even if the Belv 1 body never shows But I would like to build either the Grotheer car in above epic. Or the Jere Stahl sedan SS car -
Thanks all Leal did in fact run a 1968 Hemi Dart ( unlikely it was an original LO23 car ) So these decals are for that car As to when , I dont remember I have a Leal Belv, but only the one and would like to build several more. But not at the typical ebay asking prices for the kit Should have bought more when they were avail I guess. Same deal for the Sox and Martin SS 1970 Cuda kit I guess
